The hotel looks clean from the outside and the rate was affordable. However, as soon as we walked into our room it became very apparent that this place was less than desirable. To be more specific, horrendous. The room stank of some unknown odor, the furniture was broken, my wife found 2 cockroaches lying dead on the bathroom floor and a used washcloth laying behind the bathroom door. The toilet seat had urine stains on it, plus black goop running down the sides of the toilet bowl and inside the sink area. The bathroom door would not shut. We went to the local WaWa and bought Clorox to sanitize the bathroom and tables in the living area. The next morning we found a large black bug, about a half dollar size, crawling around in the trash can. Also, the floor in the bathroom did not appear to have been swept prior to our arrival. We also did not see any continental breakfast. The attendants behind the desk looked questionable at best. We have stayed at two other Super 8's in the past, Carlisle PA and Richmond VA, and both of those were very nice. That being said, I will never return to this hotel and advise all that are traveling through this area to keep on driving. If you don't believe me, stay there and you'll find out!!!

It's a good rate and better than many Super 8s I've been to. Plenty of parking. Nice staff. Good seafood nearby.
If you're on a tight budget and don't mind a short drive to the beach, this is a good choice.
It's kind of in the middle of nowhere, but within a half-hour of Dover or Rehoboth Beach, so you can save a few bucks. If you're hanging out at Rehoboth, you'll need the extra change.

We arrived mid afternoon at this hotel. We were given a clean room, but the door would not lock. we asked for another room, the gave us a room that the phone did not work, I needed this as I have family in Milford. third room had a bullet hole in the door to the outside wall. third room was acceptable. I have to admit the staff corrected the problems, but we felt as though we were causing them drama. I have not returned and will never stay in this hotel again.

Having made last-minute plans to visit the DE beaches for the weekend, I booked a room at the Super 8 in Milford (about 20 miles from Rehoboth)... because the in-town properties were either full or had no online booking, and the price was reasonable. This motel is nothing fancy -- its location right next to an auto dealership on the bypass highway is a good indication -- but it doesn't claim to be. The rooms are basic; no frills. A hanging rack instead of a closet, for example. And they could stand a few more -- or more powerful, or better located -- lamps. On the other hand, though, the place is clean and tidy, the staff personable and helpful, and certain amenities are excellent. All rooms have microwaves and small fridges, which are necessities for anyone on a special diet (which I was) or who for any reason needs to travel with his own food. The lobby has coffee 24/7, and there is the standard motel "continental breakfast" served every AM. And the bathrooms appear to have been recently renovated. They are unusually spacious, with ample counter space, and the shower was among the most comfortable I've ever used. The bed felt wobbly at first, but turned out to be very comfortable, and the TV worked well and pulled in 70+ channels. So, all in all, if you're looking for a place to hang your hat overnight in eastern Delaware, and you're more in the market for value than frills, this Super 8 will suit just fine.
