I was looking for a surprise weekend getaway for my wife and decided to try Lewes, which in itself was a great idea. I am glad that I chose this hotel to make it perfect! (Why is this hotel listed under B&B's?) Extremely professional staff, great amenities, perfectly relaxing and sensual room. At first I was put off by the fact that the town is on the other side of the canal from the town, but that turned out to be a plus for quiet and privacy. I wish we could have stayed longer. Another reviewer said that they felt like they had the hotel to themselves, and although we knew there were others in the hotel, we also had that completely private feeling during our stay.

To stay anywhere else in Lewes would be a shame. The decor and layout of the hotel are eyecatching and original. It felt as if we had the whole hotel to ourselves and being within walking distance of historic Lewes was a definate plus. The staff was extremely friendly. We can't wait to stay at Hotel Blue again!

What can I say...fantastic people, walking distance to great eateries such as "Agave," fantastic roof-top pool, great style in each room, great mattresses, first-rate toiletries. We stayed here in August and were planning on the Outer Banks for the weekend that is the subject of this review....we cancelled the Outer Banks reservations and came (back) here instead. If I am going to Lewes/Rehobeth/Bethany, this is where I stay. Period. - - - - Michael & Kelly

This is a unique property at the Delaware Beaches. Located in Lewes with wonderful restaurants nearby, close to Cape Henlopen State Park, the most pristine and natural beach in Delaware, and a courteous staff. The rooms are nicely appointed, with sophisticated contemporary design, balconies overlooking the canal, which has a nice amount of boat traffic. The gas fireplace is a nice touch. We look forward to returning.
