We are very impressed. We had a reservation and arrived very late. We were the last people to check in and there was one room left. It turned out there was a mechanical problem with the AC and it was blowing hot air. The front desk apologized profusely and gave us the option of having Marriott (who owns Fairfield) not charge us for the room AND paying for our stay at a neighboring hotel. The HoJo's we went to was a bit seedy but, hey, you can't argue with a free night. Marriott did right by us and we will remember that.
