This is a plain hotel, but price is good, and ambience competent and friendly. It was nice and clean, with just enough pillows and a moderately comfortable bed. Everything worked fine, and was luxurious in meaningful ways. The shower head was huge. The windows actually opened to fresh air! There was a small but comfortable indoor pool and hot whirlpool. A clean workout room. Rooms plain, but quiet. Service as good as any 4 star hotel.
Cons: Standard flo-thru AC /Heat noisey, like every hotel in this class. I left it off for this winter stay and ordered an extra blanket, which was great. Towels are too thin, but they happily provided more. Breakfast ain't bad for a continental, but right across the street there's a classic family-owned restaurant with a huge breakfast and nice people for $4.99!
Free parking and hi-speed internet made this a good buy. I prefer a 4 star-- especially via Hotwire, but I'd take a Fairfield anytime because they have what you need for a comfortable stay, without charging an arm and a leg.
