We went for a three day weekend in September. The motel is old but clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Almost everyone there had dogs with them so if you are not a dog lover maybe you should consider somewhere else.

We stayed here for one night on a whim when our usual places in Rehoboth were fully booked. If you are used to staying in hostels, this place will seem perfect (if expensive in the high season), if you are used to economy to mid-range accommodations, this motel will be adequate to your needs, you will enjoy the balcony views of the Bay, the cleanliness and relative quietness of the place, as well as the nice price (for a beach motel). The rooms are very dated (early 1980s?), as are the mattresses and linens -- but everything was clean, and we all had a decent night of sleep. Fine A/C. Good parking. Our major complaint is that there is no good coffee anywhere near the motel, and nothing decent for breakfast -- though Sunrise Diner half mile north of the motel looked ok -- so we went into Rehoboth. On the whole, we would rather pay more to get more, but if this suits your budget and you are not picky about where you sleep, this is a good motel choice. Best part is that it's exactly one block to the beach, across the coastal highway.

They double charged us and when we asked for it to credited we were told we had to speak to the manager because the clerks couldn't do that. At 8am we requested the manager and we were told that he wouldn't be around until that afternoon. i replied by saying i needed to see him right away and they said we be there by 11 or 12 because our bank needed a letter from the hotel by 5 or the double charge would go through . We kept checking all day which ruined our day at the beach and they said he would be there soon. he finally arrived at 445 and we tried to explain the hotel error to him, at 456 he finally understood and went to fax the letter. He also did not apologize for the error. Of course the the letter got there too late and were charged which caused our account to go negative and cost us $120 in overdraft fees.we have been home for 2 days and are still trying to this mess straightened out. our bank says if the letter had been sent on time it would have been taken care of. All this to stay at a dirty hotel with no annenities, not worth the hassle and aggravation.

We keep coming back to SeaEsta III because it's reasonably priced and dog friendly. The rooms come with coffee maker, microwave, sink, stove, and small fridge. The carpeting should be replaced (with tile or laminate flooring, preferably - given the motel caters to pets). It's only a block to the beach and a block to the bay at Ruddertown (bars, restaurants, coffee shop) It's clean enough and comfortable. A good value in Dewey. They offer AAA discount too.
