Enjoyed a very pleasant lunch here with on old friend yesterday.
London Pride was off so we tried their own brew 'Oak ... something' which was very good - good selection on the lunch menu which is available all through the afternoon (plus point) - I had chilli my friend had a fillet steak which I was quite envious about when I saw it! and finished off with apple/plum crumble and cream - excellent.
A couple of small negatives, I'm all for families eating out together but pushchairs up at the bar kinda disturbs the ambience and it puts me off to see waiting staff pet the customers dogs at the bar - do they wash their hands after I wonder!
Having said that we found the staff friendly and helpful, and I guess the dogs did too!
