“Authentic Thai food at a great value.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 16, 2012 via mobile

If you like fresh, delicious & authentic Thai food, then this is the place for you. I had lunch here & had the noodle curry with shrimp. Wow! Made with rice noodles in red curry with bamboo shoots, string beans, basil & pepper. This dish was medium spicy but there r all levels of spice. Also, this is a BYOB restaurant which adds to the value. I highly recommend that you try this restaurant, I guarantee you'll be back with friends in tow. Bon Apetite.

“Authentic high quality flavorful and healthy Thai”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 25, 2011 via mobile

I've eaten here several times in large parties or with immediate family and occasionally stop for take out the food is always excellent. They pay attention to how you request your heat. The chicken larb is great (like lettuce wrap but without the ability to wrap it) Curries are very good if somewhat soupy. Their basil is always strong and flavorful. I live to start with the coconut based shop with shrimp - excellent

Place is byob too ! Wolcott is a small town so don't expect anything extravagant but Thai Palace is a gem!!

“Shockingly good for area”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2011 via mobile

My mother lives about half a mile away. The location has been home to a succession of biker bars, crummy Chinese places, etc. This incarnation is far, far better than any of the previous ones, and is some of the best Thai I've had in New England (not the best region for Thai, admittedly).

“Yummy Thai food in Wolcott?”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 2, 2011

YES, YES, and YES! The last time we had Thai food was on vacation last YEAR! When dining out, we like to stay local and support local restaurants; however, that being said, when you like ethnic food like we do, it's a challenging feat. We drove by the Thai Palace one day and went back for dinner about 2 weeks later. It is not a fancy restaurant, but it is nice inside. It is small and I would suggest calling at least an hour before arriving to reserve a table (only because of the limited number of tables). We reserved a table in the back, and we were seated promptly. The front-of-the-house/owner came over and when he found out it was our first time there, he went on to explain how the food was always fresh, never older than 2 days; orders are cooked when place and that the food was cooked in the least amount of oil possible, meaning that the wok was coated and that was all. We wanted to experience as many different flavors as possible that night so we ordered 3 appitizers: the spring roll, mango shrimp and short ribs. The ribs were to DIE for. crusted in black pepper and basil, I think, they fell off the bone, and were so flavorful it was amazing. The spring rolls were lite and very tasty and the mango shrimp was good. For our entree's we did the same, ordered 3 so we could taste a little of everything: vegetarian pad thai; duck honey and a seafood/lemongrass/glass noodle dish. Everything was so tasty! The duck honey was a little on the sweet side, and was very good. My only suggestion would be to place the duck on the bed of beans, veggies and cashews instead of the other way around. Unfortunately the duck wasn't crispy because of the sauce placed over it. The pad thai was very good, and the seafood dish was wonderful, full of fresh flavor and tender shrimp, calamari and scallop. Will we go again? You betcha!! Thanks Thai Palace! I hope you stay around and encourage other ethnic restaurants to give it a go!
