The Doubletree has an airport shuttle to Bradley Intl. airport, and is also very close to both the airport and the nearest exit. It is obvious that this hotel has undergone major renovations as the hotel appears virtually brand new. The hotel is very well kept and clean. The staff went out of their way to make me feel comfortable and were very polite. I recieved the famous Doubletree cookie at checkin and was not disappointed. The "Sweet Dreams" bedding was of high quality and provided me an excellent nights sleep. One of the pillows on the bed was badly soiled. I called the front desk to tell them and a new pillow was delivered to my room in less than 5 minutes. The front desk and the houskeeper were both very apologetic. There are obvious upgrades throughout the hotel, for example the Wolfgang Puck in-room coffee and the Neutrogena bath amenities. The hotel has a restaurant in the lobby, it looked very attractive and decently priced, but I decided to eat at the Ruby Tuesdays that was located about a minute down the street. The indoor pool area was very nice with upgraded towels and chairs. The cleaness of the pool was satisfactory, nothing great. A small gym was located next to the pool and had brand new machines.
For approximately 100 dollars this hotel was a great find and I would return.

“Decent Stay, conviniently off highway/Airport”

This Double Tree is conviniently located a few miles away from the Bradley Airport. Stayed there for 2 nights while on business trip in CT. Paid $130 a night + tax. Clean, nice facility with sufficient amenities. Met expectation of the Hilton/Double Tree chain.

Bed was very comfortable...bathroom was clean and relatively new. The hotel is conviniently located off the highway - however, there aren't too many restaurants (or even fast-food joints) near by, so dinning options are limited.

Staff was nice and helpful. Housecleaning did a reasonable job as well.

My only quibble with this hotel was the hard bed, but I'm very picky about bed firmness. Also, if you're looking for scenery, this isn't the place to stay. But it was a good place for a meeting, which is why we were there. We paid the conference price which I considered a good value. The hotel is located on a commercial strip near the airport. (I didn't hear planes.) Nice fitness center and pool. Good food. Several computers at its lobby Internet cafe. FWIW, there's a drive-thru Starbucks down the street. And the surrounding exits (Enfield and Warehouse Point) have good shopping. The hotel was clean and nicely accommodated.

I stayed here the night before an early morning flight. Check-in was quick and I was given a warm cookie. The room was average size, the bed and pillows very comfortable and there was very little noise. I was surprised however at how small the bathroom was. It was clean and had ample toiletries but I would have preferred a little more space. I asked for a wake-up call and received one right on time. I would stay here again but it wasn't much different than the less expensive hotels at the airport.

“Pleasantly Surprised”

Doubletree Hotel Bradley International Airport

The Doubletree Hotel at Windsor Locks, Connecticut, is one of those unassuming hotels that surprise you by exceeding your expectations. Located near Bradley International Airport at Hartford, the hotel is easy to miss on the main drag amidst the valet parking services and fast food joints. (It is right next to the Enterprise rental car lot.)

The Doubletree isn’t large, but it is very clean and nicely decorated. Warm chocolate cookies on check-in were nice touches (maybe that is standard procedure throughout the Doubletree chain, I don’t know). Check-in is officially 3PM, but our room was ready at 1 o’clock. Our room was comfortable and clean—right down to the immaculately made beds with overstuffed pillows.

The restaurant food was outstanding. In fact, some of the best strawberry cheesecake I’ve ever tasted was served at this Doubletree. Free wireless Internet, comfortable “business cubicles” on the main floor, a well appointed fitness room and a small indoor field round out the pleasantries. We’ll definitely be back.
