This place is hard to beat for quantity of food for your money, but the quality, at least of their eggplant parmigiana, is not something I would get again.
I decided to try their eggplant parmigiana for dinner, and opted to splurge for the platter, getting it to go, which turned out to be wise. It took about 5 minutes to prepare it, so they were making things fairly fresh. The resultant food was enough to feed a family or 3 or 4. The main course was in a 9-inch takeout container completely full to the top - pasta (shells and tomato sauce) underneath, then the eggplant, followed by a generous layer of melted cheese (the white stuff in the picture). Garlic bread and a salad were also included. I'm glad I got it to go, because I could only eat a fraction of it.
The garlic bread was decent tasting. The salad was your typical iceberg lettuce salad. The thousand island salad dressing and the consistency, and somewhat the taste, of colored mayonnaise, and I can't recommend it. The main course was, well, dull tasting. Insipid tomato sauce and forgettable eggplant under a layer of fairly tasteless cheese. Overall, I felt sad that I had wasted a portion of my daily caloric intake on this.
In retrospect, I probably got the wrong food here. A sandwich with cold cuts is probably a better choice.
