“convenient to the airport”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 5, 2005

Spent four days in a non-smoking room for about $110/night - single. Complementary breakfast / newspaper-delivered makes this a pleasant experience. Full service health area to include large jacuzzi, exercize room and heated (80 degrees) pool. Arrived in late evening at the airport, selected the hotel-hotline at a switchboard in the baggage claim area and a shuttle arrived within 5 minutes for transport to the hotel.
Room clean and well maintained - serviced promptly.
The car rental facilities for the airport are off-site so the shuttle, next day, drove me to Avis. Would return.

Stayed here once with their Romance Package and it was great. 4pm checkout, roses, gorgeous jacuzzi in the room, totally worth the cost. The only slightly alarming thing: I noticed at check-in that a group of about 6 or 7 teens (4 boys, 3 girls) were also checking-in. The oldest was 16 years old, and they were given a room because one of them was the manager's son or daughter (as I overheard a very reluctant front desk clerk explain to a co-worker).

Came back several weeks later for the same package just as four busloads of teenagers unloaded in the hotel lot. Talk about rotten timing. Within minutes, they were literally all over the place. Running down the hallways, going into and out of eachother's rooms, riding the elevators, etc. What was really unsettling was the fact that the boys and girls were sharing rooms without an adult in sight....I'm no prude, but that's a recipe disaster from both the school and the hotel standpoint. I called downstairs to complain, and I was told to let them settle in. When things hadn't calmed down after 15 minutes, we headed downstairs to check-out. We did this as a hotel employee strolled lazily down the hallway asking the kids if they could be quiet and stay in their rooms. They literally laughed in his face, but he didn't appear too rattled.

Upon re-entering the lobby, we found a dozen more students laying around the lobby, one playing a guitar, while 2 chaperones sipped coffee. As we checked-out and calmly explained there was no way we would be paying for the room, a group of students burst out of one of the elevators screaming. A perfect reinforcement to our arguement. The hotel never billed us.

Okay, said my piece. The hotel seems great except for a habit of being way too accomodating to minors.
