“OK for a quick meal but not a destination restaurant”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 16, 2012

I have now been 3 times. The burgers are fine, lots of toppings. The fries are ok. Not as crispy as I would like. The milkshakes are good..I could just stop in for the shake. Easy parking and it's free. Beware of the portion sizes. The first time I got what I thought was a regular burger and it turned out to be huge so I downsized on the next visit. The fries too.

“Nice variety!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 30, 2012

Mooyah Burger is like Five Guys, but with more choices (Turkey Burger, Veggie Burger or Regular Hamburger). There are also numerous topping choices (like guacamole, bacon, etc) and nice choices for kids, such as chicken, a hot dog or a burger, of course. They even have a creative menu of milkshakes.
They also have a choice between sweet potato fries and regular fries. I think Mooyah's burgers are much better than Five Guys. They melt in your mouth! The sweet potato fries are also awesome. I think Five Guys has better regular fries, however. Nonetheless, if you're in the area, I highly recommend popping in here if you're in the mood for fast food.

“Just Another Burger Place”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 5, 2012

I think West Hartford must have the most burger places than any other city in the state. The advantage for Mooyah's is there are no other burger places in that side of town. It's your basic order the type of burger and toppings on the type of bun you want. Have a seat until your number is called and retrieve your food. The burgers were juicy and the sweet potato fries were tasty and crunchy. In other words, fine, but nothing special.

“Almost as good as Jake;s, better than Five Guys”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 21, 2012

Mooyah is another burger chain that fills the gap between places like McDonald's and the more upscale locally-owned burger bars such as Max Burger. Like its competitors, Jake's Wayback Burgers and Five Guys, Mooyah focuses on homemade-tasting burgers, fries, and shakes. Mooyah also offers hot dogs, veggie burgers, turkey burgers, and sweet potato fries, and has an extensive list of toppings for the burgers. I prefer Mooyah to Five Guys because Five Guys is much greasier -- both the sandwiches and especially the fries. Mooyah's dining area is also nicer, not as sterile looking. I prefer Jake's over either Mooyah or Five Guys, however, because Jake's isn't greasy and their menu is more extensive than either of the others. All three are close in quality and taste-- delicious! --, so location may ultimately be your deciding factor.
