The service is what saved our meal. It was our waitress who suggested returning our not crispy duck for a new meal. Rarely have I ever had a bad duck but this dish unfortunately qualified. It was chewy and tasteless, the skin and tissue were like rubber bands. It was as if it had been microwaved. The second try was improved but would not have rated more than okay. This time the duck was crispy but only somewhat more flavorful. Any savory taste came from a piquant sauce. Additionally, we were not impressed by the vegetables accompanying the entrée.
They are just typical American-style cut beans, carrots and bell peppers in the sauce hoping to pass for Oriental. Jasmine rice was a sticky clump with no taste or aroma. So the sesame seed sauce endeavored to carry the whole meal.
