My wife and I spent one night here while traveling through the New England States. Hotel is very convenient to the interstate. Lobby and rooms were very clean, staff at front desk were very nice and helpful. Very good free breakfast. Only complaint we had was the outside scenery was not the best but we didn't stay there to stare out the windows. Not a lot of restaurants close by but the ones that were there provided delivery service. All in all if was a very enjoyable stay.

This is a very nice hotel. Right off the highway, new and very clean. Nice indoor pool. One of the best free breakfast buffets and a accomodating staff. We stayed here one night while visiting for a class reunion. We wanted the pool but found the pump had broken and it couldn't be used until check out day. We were very disappointed but the desk cler made up for it with a bag of poppcorn, some candy, a reduced rate and a free movie.
then she caledus a few hours latter to let us know the pool was now open so we went and enjoyed it very much. Inside of hotel is excellent- only minor negative is that outside of hotel is plain and not in a fancy area but it just off highway I-84 and a nice area.

We stayed here one night while visiting the nearby Litchfield Hills area. Our 1 yr old son was with us as well.

The property is very clean and feels brand new. It compares favorably with 4 stars hotels I've stayed at. It's close to the highways.

Everything went very smooth and the staff was very helpful, though I didn't really have any special requests.

The breakfast in the morning was great as well. They had everything including waffles, bagels, cereal, yogurt, selection of teas & coffee as well as well as juice.

We stayed here on our way to South Jersey. We loved the hotel. It's new and beautiful with big huge beds, white down duvets fluffy pilllows, and a great breakfast. The staff was so pleasant and hospitable. The room was immaculate and the rates were absolutely wonderful. I'd stay there again in a minute if I were ever in the area again.

We visit Waterbury on a somewhat regular basis (we have family there) and had been booking our stays at the Courtyard by Marriott in downtown Waterbury. The latest time we needed to visit Waterbury, the Courtyard was booked solid so I decided to try the Hampton Inn, having seen it from the highway. It is located right on Route 84 westbound, but not right off any exit (it's not hard to get there, however). Be advised that it is not within walking distance of anything: restaurants, shops, etc. We booked a room at AAA rates and it was less expensive than the Courtyard.

When we checked in, the hotel receptionist gave us a first floor room next to the vending machines - what was he thinking! I looked at the room's location, quickly said it was not where we would prefer to stay. He asked our preferences and changed our room immediately to a high floor, far from vending and not facing the highway. I like that kind of quick response from a hotel. Our room was fairly typical for a Hampton Inn: quite nice, the usual amenities - the hotel is fairly new. We used the exercise room (the usual equipment, nothing special) and ate at the fairly standard one-grade-up-from-continental breakfast.

Overall, our experience was very good. In fact, we have already booked two rooms for two nights over the upcoming Christmas holiday, and my wife's sister and her family will be staying there as well (based upon our recommendation). The reason why we are staying here and not the Courtyard? It's more affordable ($20 a room a night less expensive), the location is just as convenient for us, and it has a breakfast included as well.
