“Cow to Cone Creamery”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 21, 2012

This creamery is as old-fashioned as it gets with interesting homemade ice cream flavors galore. The strawberry cheesecake, maple walnut, p nutty, jungle George, and bubble gum are just a few of the more flavorful varieties which change often. Pumpkin cheesecake yogurt just came in for autumn. This is a must stop ice cream shop in southern CT. This farm hosts festivals too where you can feed the cows, enjoy the sunflowers, take a hayride, etc.

“Awesome!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2012 via mobile

My 11 year old and his friend titled this review -- they felt the 45 minute wait (even though it was an on-and-off rainy day) was worth it for the huge cones of delicious ice cream. I had the sunflower ice cream which was really good. Great photo ops by the sunflower field but be aware that the best view is a bit south (5 minute walk) of the ice cream stand. Right next to the stand is the hayride and "cow train" (little train of holstein-patterned carts pulled by a lawn tractor for the kids) as well as hot dogs & chips. If you want to take the sunflowers home, they sell for 5 for $5 with proceeds going to Make-A-Wish foundation.

“Delicious Ice Cream”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 7, 2012

My stepfather took my family and me to this place for ice cream. I am glad that he did because this place can make awesome ice cream. This place makes many different flavors that you WILL not see anywhere else. The best part is that everything is made fresh and handmade. I ordered blueberry ice cream with real Maine blueberries with strawberry ice cream. My cup was very delicious that I was scooping the last bit of ice cream. This place is very popular, even though it is in a small town in Connecticut. After you receive your ice cream, you sit under a gazebo to eat ice cream and look at the future Christmas trees growing next to this place. Any children or adult will enjoy this place. I know that when I come back to Connecticut; I shall visit this place again. Worth checking out!!!

“Yummy ice cream and great view”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 23, 2012

The line gets VERY long on the weekends, but they have lots of cashier windows so the line moves quickly. The ice cream is delicious, especially their homemade whipped cream. Make sure to take a walk around the sunflower fields. Downside is the price - it's rather expensive for ice cream!
