“Greatest Casino ever!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 days ago NEW

I have been to Mohegan Sun many times and I have never been disappointed. From the gaming, to the concerts, the restaurants and the rooms, Mohegan Sun is top notch. I go alone, I go with friends and I go with family and I always have a great time, have always enjoyed myself.

Room Tip: Every room is beautifully decorated and comfortable.

My husband's company took a group of 50 people to Mohegan Sun to reward hard work on a big project. The hotel is truly magnificent - from the valet, to the VIP checkin, to the grand decor, to the comfort of the rooms, to the upscale shops & dining, to the spectacular views! The casinos provide all the fun and excitement one expects. To top it off, we saw Kenny Chesney in the arena which is also spectacular. Thanks for a great time Mohegan Sun - we will be back.

another wonderful stay at this location room 622. Magnificent king mini suite with separate sitting area, two toilets, long soaking tub. Separate huge shower two sinks in bathroom. So relaxing to enjoy after a long travel day at family graduation. What is so striking is that upon entering hotel area from valet is the fresh spring smell. Unlike other casinos that smell of smoke. Front desk always a pleasure to work with. Dealers on casino enjoyable and not grouchy. We like the smoke free area to gamble near Sol Toros Mexican restaurant ...,
For restaurants we enjoyed Hash a go go. Farm fresh food and much more than you could is dinky eat ( over the buffets which always have lines too long to wAit. Life is too short to wait in long lines

Stayed in Room 606 (king-sized, non-smoking), which was nicely appointed with a desk, sitting chair, and moderately sized television. Bathroom and shower were spacious, clean, and well-stocked with amenities (soaps, shampoos, conditioners, lotions, vanity kit, etc.). We skipped the in-room mini-bar since prices were so excessive. However, this room was quiet and provided a view of the Thames River. It was more than adequate for the one evening stay after a rock show, and the bed was comfortable. Sheets and pillowcases were clean; extra pillows and blankets were readily available in the room's closet. In-room save was easy to use. Check-in (3pm) and check-out (11am) was a snap. Overall, would certainly stay here again, for a show or otherwise.

Room Tip: Room 606 was quiet; close enough to the elevators but far enough from anything distracting.

I have been staying here pretty regularly after becoming disenchanted with the other nearby casino & associated hotels. Mohegan Sun rooms are always immaculate and well appointed. There tends to be a fairly long line at check in lately (it seems they are getting more conventions) but the front desk staff is always efficient and extremely accommodating. My requests are usually close to elevator, non-smoking king room. This is generally met with a room that is ready and I tend to arrive between 1&2pm. If you get a view of the river, it is lovely! If you re a coffee drinker, you have a small coffee maker in the room, but I prefer to grab a cup at Imus which is just off the lobby. Good coffee and quick service except at peak morning times. There are also a couple of Dunkin Donuts on property, but they are really tucked away and hard to find.

There are a number of very good restaurants on property. Bobby Flay's Bar American is very good. Try the deviled eggs - they are delicious! For mid range places Bobby Flay's Burger Palace is solid, and Pepe's Pizza is excellent. The buffet is adequate (much better than Foxwoods). There is a decent food court in the Earth Casino, and a so-so one in the Sky Casino. Margaritaville is consistent, and there are a number of other options.

The casino has a good selection of slot machines to choose from and decent video poker but comps for video poker are almost non-existent. There is a good variety of entertainment- be sure to check out the Wolf Den for some very good complimentary music. ROUnd it out with decent shopping and a nice pool area and you have a great casino right here in New England.

Room Tip: Request a river view if you will be spending time enjoying the room

My overall experience of Mohegan Sun is very positive. I visit frequently because I am so close. I went last night and although I broke even, I still had a great time. Ok to start the buffet needs a little help, see my other reviews, but take that out of the picture and this place is great. The staff here are more friendly and attentive than any other casino I have ever been to. I am a regular looser but I keep going back! The art work and detail in this place is amazing! They have free show almost every night in the wild den which includes tables and a bar. They have a huge arena that is great for concerts. They have drop in child care so you don't need to find a babysitter (see my other reviews). And I will say it again, the staff is great wherever you go in the resort. The hotel is great, amazing pool with a bar. Great spa. If you are looking for a getaway, come here!!!
