How many ways can you write perfection? Lorraine and Lily Bed and Breakfast! Lorriane is warm, approachable, good humored, delightful, gracious, considerate, kind, cheerful and accommodating. Lily B & B is Lorriane! The beds are wonderful, rooms spacious, breakfast is to die for, showers hot, and did I say the breakfast is to die for?? The gift shop just opened and hosts varieties of wonderful gifts made in the area.
There were 4 of us and we took all but one room. We felt we were home, but we didn't have to do anything. The Lily House is named after Lorraine's grandmother, Lily. Her home is filled with the love that Grandma Lily showed Lorriane all those years.
The worst thing about the Lily House Bed and Breakfast....is leaving!!

Lorraine is an exceptional hostess. She was there to predict and meet our every need and was flexible and helpful. We stayed 2 nights on a brief trip with our 7 year old, and she made every effort to welcome him, make room for our needs as a family and take good care of us. The rooms are spacious, beautiful and unbelievably clean, and she provides every possible amenity you might like, from tea and coffee around the clock to chocolate chip cookies before bedtime. Her breakfast was delicious, and she was really able to accomodate our special tastes and needs in every way. I can't wait to return! As my son said, "this is better than any hotel we've ever stayed in." Thanks!

Lorraine is a warm and welcoming hostess---a great B and B. Fabulous breakfast...homemade scones, the best fruit salad, fabulous eggs, etc. Super! And the beds---you will sleep like a baby. Very warm and cozy ambiance---like staying in someone's home. Lorraine goes out of her way to make you feel welcome. If you need to get away, and get a good nights sleep---this is the place. You'll leave refreshed. Loved the gardens and porches, decks, and landscaping, too.

My wife and I like to travel with another couple and stay at B&Bs wherever we go. We've stayed at some wonderful places and some that were not so wonderful. Of all of them, Lily House in Suffield, CT, is probably the best overall. The old house, within walking distance of shopping and a variety of eateries, is beautiful, well kept and carefully decorated. The bedrooms are charming with spacious private baths while the common areas - like the living room, den and dining areas - are inviting and comfortable. Lorraine, the charming proprietor, was probably the best part of this outstanding package. Her service was unlike any that I'd experienced in other B&Bs around the country. It wasn't just that she offered a great facility and good service, it's that she made us feel as guests in her own home. Lorraine seemed always to be looking for ways to enhance our stay whether it was offering snacks while our party chatted in front of the fireplace or, having heard of our plans for the day, finding us coupons from her stash which saved us over $20. She suggested places to eat in the area and then, after we made our choice, she arranged for our reservations. The food she prepared was excellent and was served in a creative and attractive manner. Freshly baked confections were always available as were a variety of coffees, teas, soft drinks and beer. The place was just great and the price was reasonable.

There's a lot to love at Lily House and I encourage you to give it a try. It's one of the best.
