We used to like this place better, believe it or not, when it was an old fashioned joint that had decent food, low prices, and an environment where we could bring little boys and not worry about it. Since the makeover, it is certainly much nicer inside and we had very high hopes. The very limited initial menu after the renovation has been filled out to some degree like it used to be. However, it is just different. It now is no longer the inexpensive family dinner place, but it is also far from really good Italian in the area (i.e., Biaggio, Amici, etc.). It is in nowhere land. The service was really poor. The waitress told us when we sat down rigth away "It is crazy in here tonight" but there were empty tables. That means she isn't good at her job, or the place is understaffed. We waited forever for food (almost 50 minutes), including for chicken tenders with fries for the kids! We asked for those to come out ASAP and before ours, if ready beforehand, as kids can't wait that long for food. Anyone with kids knows that. We also asked to substitute spinach for the pasta on both my wife's and my dishes since we don't eat much carbs. She said 'OK", but while I am fine with a reasonable up-charge, she instead brought us BOTH $7 sides of spinach (adding $14 to our tab). Had we known we may have just shared one. Not cool. The Scrod Franchase I had also said it came with artichoke hearts and sundried tomatoes, etc., but came with none of those (just the fish and sauce). Not cool. There are too many other good places right near by. Stellas, we used to be fans and regulars. We came right after the renovation and were disappointed. We tried it again, and were disappointed again. Bye bye Stellas.....Hello Biaggio and Amici's!
