“Excellent entertainment - Free Parking!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

Jorgensen brings a wide range of entertainment to Storrs, from world class jazz and classical, to internationally acclaimed dance. It is easily accessible from I-84 (about 15 minutes off highway) and offers free parking right on campus if you are attending an event. Certain events offer light fare with the performance - a really great night out. Prices are extremely reasonable for the caliber entertainment. Also brings in great children's programming.

“Excellent variety of shows and not a bad seat in the house!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 4, 2013

Jorgensen is about half-way between Boston and New York and they seem to get great performers (maybe on their way from one city to the other!) There is an excellent choice of music, theatre, kids events, and performances such as the recent Kodo Drummers (which was amazing!). All the seats give you a great view of the stage.

“Continues to be an Excellent Perfoming Arts Center”

The line-up at this center continues to impress. They bring in world class acts for a very reasonable price. Great hall to hear music in.

“Plan ahead for a great show”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 17, 2012

This is a gem - a very eclectic series of performance events in an imtimate setting. I paired a sporting event with a performance in an all day visit to the University of Connecticut. Reasonable pricing and the caberet events are fun. The specific events may not be your cup of tea on any day, but this is just befitting the diversity of a major university. But do yourself a favor and at least check out what is there when you are.

“Watch out Broadway!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 26, 2012

We have seen many shows at Jorgensen, the most recent was "Man of Lamancha." The costumes, singing, and dancing were fabulous and I can't even imagine the barber or the man servant without bursting out in gales of laughter. The thing is, most of their shows are this way. The calibur of their performances is second to none. My kids (16 yrs and 22 yrs) are always inquiring as to which show we will see next. They absolutely love it. The price is reasonable so a family can go and enjoy the theater, especially if they watch out for local coupons and deals that come out every so often.
