Obviously a neighbourly hangout which i rate as a good sign. Visited on 12/04/2010. We sat a high table near the bar. Classic martini was well made. The dozen oysters at $20.00 was bargain and they were exceptional. Good size, sweet and briney and expertly shucked. Green apple and arugula salad was lightly dressed and nice balance of flavor. The menu is a little bit off beat with some interesting combinations. The monk fish with fennel, tomato , and white beans was a delightful mouthful of flavor. All the ingredients were cooked to perfection. My wife ordered duck and scallops with oyster mushroom sauce. Sounds a bit odd, but worked and was a hit. Service was good and they actually delivered my glass of wine with the entre. Amazing how many times the glass comes out as I am cleaning my plate. This is a hit.
