“A lovely meal”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 26, 2014

I ordered the tuna, which was out of this world. It was very rare and served with a wonderful set of green vegetables, which I normally don't like but in this case they were very good. Nice wine selection. My husband ordered the duck, which he enjoyed. Highly recommended.

“It's All About the Food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 25, 2014

Visit this cozy, no-reservations bistro and prepared to be amazed. In our recent visit, we were delighted with everything we ate. Speaking for myself, I had a pan seared sea trout prepared with tomatoes, capers, olives, and fingerling potatoes. It might have been overbearing or bland or mismatched, but it was one of the best meals I have had since France. We shared an heirloom tomato starter and should have ordered doubles. Even though it was mid June the tomatoes tasted as though they were fresh picked from a private garden. The clientele the night we were there seemed congenial and mostly locals.

“Average at best”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 23, 2014

Stonington is a wonderful seaside town and while there we stopped for lunch. Logically a seaside town would have wonderful seafood. We were going to order Crab Bisque but they were out, what happened to traditional clam chowder or a good fish sandwich. One of our party had a dairy allergy and it clearly took the waitress by surprise. The food came out hot a bit staggered but filled the need. Would i go back, no, there are many other options.

“Sometimes really good but usually: just ok”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 12, 2014

It is uneven: occasionally it's really good but more often than not -- just okay. The service is really good, though, and the setting is pleasant. (And yes, I am very critical of food!)

“Excellent, newly redecorated.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 7, 2014

Wonderful bistro dining with a refreshed decor and great vintage ceiling. Still has my favorite warm duck salad and wafer cake. Excellent oysters. Always a favorite.
