This is the best restaurant in Stamford for fine Italian food. We usually go to NYC when we want the best but Siena serves consistently extraordinary food here locally. We also like the service very much.

The food was delicous. We made the reservations at the last minute, and they were accommodating. It is very near the Avon theater, so it makes a great dinner and movie combo.
There's a deft hand in the kitchen at this Italian star in downtown Stamford. The food is flavorful and well-prepared, esepecially the home-made pasta specialties. When it is crowded, which it often is, the dining room can become loud and somewhat chaotic, but the attentive and warm service offsets the din. The decor is standard issue and unremarkable, but you have to remember that you are here for the food, which is uniformly delicious.
