I want to start out by saying this hotel was a great deal at under $100 with AAA rate. I stayed the weekend with my family for the National American Miss competition and although it was held at the Marriot, I had heard such terrible reviews about how clean the Marriot was so opted for the Hampton Inn instead.
Hotel staff was nice and the room was adequate and clean. The beds comfortable. The only 2 complaints about the room would be that I couldn't figure out how to change the temperature (it kept going back to its 75 degrees) and there were 2 pieces of wall that were hanging out. One looked like an access panel in the bedroom and it was hanging open. My daughter couldn't get it back all of the way in the wall. Also in the bathroom, the toilet paper dispenser pulled out each time you tugged on the toilet paper. In my mind these were two cheap and easy things to correct.
On the other hand the bathroom was great. The shower/tub and toilet were behind one door and the sink and huge counter were outside of that. It was perfectly set up for us so someone could use the bathroom and someone else could be brushing teeth etc.
The hotel had a van for guests but it didn't run on the weekend we were there so I drove to the Marriot and paid for parking 3 to 4 different times each day!
Also, the cleaning crew had not been in our room when we returned at 2PM on Saturday for a costume change. At that point they were across the hall and I let them know to forget it. I didn't want anyone in the room at that point when I was rushing around. I was disappointed at this because I was counting on not having to straighten up myself with all that I had to do for the weekend.
Breakfast, as usual was nice to have included. They try to change it up each day and still have cereal, fruit etc. It is a great spread for free.
Other than the little complaints, all in all a great bargain.
