I want to start out by saying this hotel was a great deal at under $100 with AAA rate. I stayed the weekend with my family for the National American Miss competition and although it was held at the Marriot, I had heard such terrible reviews about how clean the Marriot was so opted for the Hampton Inn instead.

Hotel staff was nice and the room was adequate and clean. The beds comfortable. The only 2 complaints about the room would be that I couldn't figure out how to change the temperature (it kept going back to its 75 degrees) and there were 2 pieces of wall that were hanging out. One looked like an access panel in the bedroom and it was hanging open. My daughter couldn't get it back all of the way in the wall. Also in the bathroom, the toilet paper dispenser pulled out each time you tugged on the toilet paper. In my mind these were two cheap and easy things to correct.

On the other hand the bathroom was great. The shower/tub and toilet were behind one door and the sink and huge counter were outside of that. It was perfectly set up for us so someone could use the bathroom and someone else could be brushing teeth etc.

The hotel had a van for guests but it didn't run on the weekend we were there so I drove to the Marriot and paid for parking 3 to 4 different times each day!

Also, the cleaning crew had not been in our room when we returned at 2PM on Saturday for a costume change. At that point they were across the hall and I let them know to forget it. I didn't want anyone in the room at that point when I was rushing around. I was disappointed at this because I was counting on not having to straighten up myself with all that I had to do for the weekend.

Breakfast, as usual was nice to have included. They try to change it up each day and still have cereal, fruit etc. It is a great spread for free.

Other than the little complaints, all in all a great bargain.

My family and I stayed here for one night (saturday) while in Stamford. At a AAA rate of 98.10. This included quite an extensive all inclusive breakfast. The room is very clean and spacious the free wireless internet access is handy. The beds are comfortable. The bathroom itself is a bit small but the sink is outside the batroom and thus caused really no problem. Overall an excellent value for a good room and breakfast

“Nice hotel - would stay again”

Alexandria, VA

We were traveling from VA to Cape Cod, leaving Friday after work and wanted to stop on the way. I looked at loads of hotels (through TripAdvisor) in NJ and NY and almost gave up, either too expensive or scary reviews, decided we would have to drive through the night. A friend recommended this place, I thought it would be too far but it was worth the drive. Hotel was very clean, staff friendly and the price very affordable. Elevators were a bit slow and the hotel was full of high school kids - maybe a graduation party - so they kept running out of food at breakfast - but expect that is unusual. Good to know there is somewhere clean and affordable on that route.

Looking for Hotels in Stamford was not easy, not many nice choices, but also very pricey. This was a wonderful find. The hotel was clean, nice, very nicely priced on Expedia. The rooms were big and the beds comfortable. It had free breakfast every morning with a nice spread. The parking was free thankfully. The staff was friendly too. The area was just down the street from downtown Stamford, short 5-10minute walk depending on where you were heading to. On the weekend you get the best deal, weekdays are very pricey. Also free internet and printer usage, nice bonus. Would stay here again next time in town.

Side note if looking for nice inexpensive restaurant just down the street (10-15min drive) you have to go to the greek restaurant Sergios. My husband and I ate delicious food for under 14bucks for the both of us. Cant beat that.

This hotel is a hidden gem! I looked here on TripAdvisor before I booked it because a hotel in Stamford for $109/night seemed too good to be true. All the reviews were so positive, so I booked it. I was not disappointed!

This is a clean, well run hotel with a friendly staff and good sized rooms. There is free parking in the attached garage and the Stamford Metro North Station is just a short walk away (we walked there to head into NYC around 2:00PM but opted for the $6 cab ride back at midnight). The hotel runs a free shuttle van in the morning to the downtown business area and train station. The free hot breakfast (from 6-10AM) was great. There was a free wine and cheese reception that evening out in the back patio area and according to a paper in our room there is a different type of reception like that every weeknight. The patio was a beautifully lancaped space with tables and chairs. The room was clean and comfortable and had a microwave and a small fridge. The lobby was outfitted with a TV, fireplace and lending library. Overall I was very happy with hotel and recommend it without any hesitation!
