“Wonderful year round place for families, particularly children”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 3, 2013

The center is well run with a variety of things to do. One can walk in the woods, play in the great playground with a birds nest, visit the animals (my favorite are the otters), picnic by the lake or visit the exhibits. They do special events year round and all are interesting. They also involve the community, such as the boy scouts. In addition, they have summer classes for all ages. it is great for a short midweek visit or a day long outing.

“Back to nature”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2013

Stamford Museum brings visitors back to nature. Whether its walking their trails, gazing at the starts from their planetarium or seeing how a New England farm operates, there is something for everyone to connect to nature. On top of that they have interesting exhibits from art to anthropology, so it's a very worthwhile way to spend an a day.

“Great for young kids”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

This place is great for families with young kids or people who are young at heart. It has a working farm, a playground and a museum. I will always bring my out of town visitor with kids here. Its easy local and usually just enough for them to handle. The playground has large wooden structures and slides. It kept my kids entertained for hours. Farm has cows, otters, pigs, chickens, sheep, turkeys, llamas and a variety of other animals as well. There is also a small indoor exhibit of reptiles. Don't miss the museum it always has something offbeat and interesting.

“Family fun”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

GREAT Place for families or singles too. tour the farm and see the animals then visit the museum which usually has some sort of exhibit going on. Watch the ducks swim on the pond. And there are walking trails through the woods. Bring bug repelant (deer wonder the woods so you'll want to prevent inviting ticks to visit). Bring a picnic and enjoy the out of doors. I live in Stamford so I can visit any time.
