Today is the first time I dined in here, with a friend. We have done take-out many times.
The biriyani is almost always excellent. There is no other place in CT that makes biriyani which is even nearly as good. I have ixed feelings about some of the other items I have tried.
Kababs are pretty awful, and expensive. Don't try kababs here. We tried the goat fry today, which was good but a little too spicy for me. Order a "medium spicy" or "mild". The "double ka meetha" that we ordered today was very good. Curries/sides are average.
I have had issues with their service earlier when I have ordered and picked up. There have been times when they said that our order would be ready in 30 minutes (which is too long anyway) but have taken more than 60. Even today, we had to wait for almost 25 minutes after we ordered. And while we waited, the only "extra" they provided was water. No papad, unlike many other restaurants.
The waiters are gentlement but seem a little uptight. The ordering system using iPad seemed a little silly and weird, but then - whatever works.
The decor is tasteful and better than in most Indian restaurants. An they play nice Bollywood numbers which itself is a plus.
However, at the end, I repeat - the biriyani is fantastic. If you dine in and don't like the experience, do a take-out. Only caution - order long enough ahead!
