This is a great little not for profit venue featuring older groups, pop groups and singles who remain on tour. You will hear groups such as Kansas, Kiss,Pat Benatar, Dave Mason,Gin Blossoms, plus so many more. There is poetry reading, opera, national theatre live, and special guests like Chef Robert Irvine also included are many comedy headliners.
Because it is a small venue every seat keeps you upfront and personal with the entertainers. Seating is limited, so expect to pay a bit more than arena-type seating, $100 give or take has been my experience for popular shows. The big negative is the airplane-size seats, recently installed to accommodate larger numbers of patrons. They are not comfortable at all.
The Playhouse sells popcorn and candy snacks as well sodas and adult beverages. Alcoholic drinks are around $7
The Playhouse accepts memberships which offers discounted tickets, priority reservations and other benefits to members.
My recommendation is to enjoy a good dinner in many of Ridgefield's wonderful restaurants and then enjoy a fun show at Ridgefield Playhouse.
