This motel is 5 stars for the price. Service was very friendly and professional . Sid and Carl made us feel welcomed- really good people. Everything was clean and we were pleasantly surprised to find an exercise room with treadmill, bike and weight machine (drinking water machine too). We found conveniences such as ice, refrigerator, hair dryer, microwave, coffee machine, Wifi, TV, ATM machine... Everything was well maintained and in working order. Complimentary breakfast included an espresso maker, decaf or regular, as well as all the usual. large selection you find. The dining area was comfortable. It is obvious that the owner and staff are very conscientious about providing a quality stay. It is conveniently located by Dunkin Donuts, a movie theater and a good Italian restaurant, as well as being minutes from I 84. We will be sure to return next time we are in the area. Highly recommended!!

This Econolodge was taken over by a small family that’s slowly reviving it and making improvements from its previous decrepit state. They’re working hard at it and deserve a lot of credit, although the place still has some ways to go. The son manning the front desk, although working a 16-hour shift, was friendly and helpful—especially when we came to breakfast and complained that there was no fruit or anything healthy. (Frozen bagels, waffles and pastries and a few types of cereal were all they had.) He actually called his mom who arrived minutes later (in her pajamas, it appeared!) carrying a bag of bananas and apples. Very much appreciated!
In general the place still seems a bit run down, but adequate for those on a budget. Our room was tiny, but clean, and the bed was fairly comfortable. Towels and bedding are worn, and the TV is old, but there’s a good selection of channels and the free wifi works fine. Shower pressure was pretty good. The place is noisy overnight—our door rattled when people came in and out of the corridor outside, which disturbed our sleep.
Lobby has a computer and an ATM machine. I was impressed that such a small budget place does have a fitness center, although it’s minimal—one treadmill and an exercise bike and a weight machine in a tiny room that’s open from 7 a.m. till 10 pm.
The location is convenient with Dunkin Donuts, fast food and a truck stop right next door, and the surrounding area is quite pretty. We’ll come back here if traveling this way again—the personal effort and attention of the staff made up for the place’s shortcomings.

Have stayed here long term stays on and off as needed since last year. This year I have seen this place go through a revolutionary complete renovation and improvement process. The place changed ownership early this year and new management performed all improvements in a timely manner. The results are amazing. The way you are treated here is like family. Experts for sure. They really know how to accommodate each type of customer from one time stay, long term business stays, large party stays, all sorts of family occasions, pets, etc. they will treat you like family giving you the respect you deserve in a truly courteous and professional manner. Not to mention plenty of secure well lit parking for tractor trailers, rvs etc. The motel itself is tucked away in a cozy little spot with plenty of all around comfort and security once you are settled in for the night.
This is truly the highest quality for the budget price very hard to beat! With many repeat customers this place stays full on a consistent basis so prepare your trip in advance no hurries no worries.

As soon as you walk in you have a sense of family in this hotel. The staff is the best, they are honest, funny and will go to any length to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. If you need something that they do not have they go to all lengths to make sure you obtain it. The yards are beautiful and are well taken care of. There is a staff here that specialises in just the upkeep of all the various trees and flowers. I have to say in all honesty it is one of the most beautiful yards I have seen for a hotel. If you need extra linens, towels, etc there is never a problem or wait. The laundry facilities are immaculant and the price is very reasonable. I have been here on an extended stay and the staff treats the new comers as well as the people who have been here for some time with curtosy and a smile. You will never here anything being said inapropriately or with voices raised. Like I said it is without a doubt a family environment and once you have stayed you will want to come back again. I hope every one who comes to the Econo Lodge enjoys it as much as we have.!!!! Bambi Gorneau

I recently stayed at this Econo Lodge and I must say that it's a great price for the spacious and clean accommodations. In response to the earlier reviews, this motel is under new management since Spring - I had checked this location earlier this year and I would have agreed then, but it has undergone a complete transformation! It's a bed-bug/smell free environment that is right off the highway and close to the major city areas. The staff is extremely friendly, attentive and welcoming. I would definitely recommend staying here, low budget or not!

On the plus side, this is pretty cheap (I got it for $63/night with tax), the room is fairly large, and the staff is nice enough. On the negative side, the hallway smelled absolutely terrible (can't even describe what the heck it was), the shower had much mildew in the ceiling, and my bed sheet had a cigarette burn in it. If you're looking to save some money and don't want to sleep at Motel 6 or in your car, this may be the place for you.
