We stayed for a night on our way back from NY. The price was much better than a hotel close by where we had stayed before and the facilities were 100% nicer!

Not only was the staff pleasant, they handled a problem we had quickly and 100% to our satisfaction.

I am looking forward to staying there again in the very near future.

Room Tip: If you like swimming, a room on the lower level will give you better access to the pool. We stayed...

We arrived an hour before check-in, but were able to get a room immediately. The room was clean and nicely furnished. It had a mini-fridge and microwave. The TV was nice, but there was no way (that we could discover) to find out what was available to watch other than manually scrolling through the channels.

The room seemed dark even with all the lights turned on, but the bathroom was well lit. When you turn the light on in the bathroom (there's only one light switch) the fan turns on and is noisy. The intake vents on the fan were dusty.

There was a thermostat to regulate room temperature. There's a hair dryer, coffee pot, and ice bucket in the bathroom on the spacious counter top. Lots of clean towels and wash cloths. There was one bar of soap and one shampoo near the sink and another bar of soap and shampoo in the shower. Bring your own conditioner, lotion, shower cap, etc. There was an iron and ironing board in the closet, but no extra pillow or blanket.

The walls are paper thin. You can hear normal conversation at low volume through the walls. However, there's a no noise policy after 10 PM, so we were able to get a good night's sleep.

There was a strange smell throughout the room and hallways. It was like the smell of either new carpet or fresh paint. By the next morning we were having mild allergy symptoms (stuffy nose, coughing, itchy red eyes, etc.) which cleared up after we got outside into the fresh air. I wanted to open the window to get some fresh air, but it could not be opened.

We brought cold drinks to put in the fridge, but there were no drinking glasses in the room. There were some small styrofoam cups in the bathroom near the coffee pot, which we attempted using, but wound up purchasing two drinking glasses at a store. Not a problem for those who like drinking from cans or styrofoam cups, but if you don't, you'll need to bring your own drinking glasses.

The staff were wonderful. They made us feel welcome and were helpful and kind. The bed was comfortable.

I stayed here with my girlfriend last May. We wanted to take a trip to Mystic but found the hotels right in Mystic to be a little above our budget. This hotel was just a nice, quick ride to Mystic. The rooms were clean, but the walls were very thin. I think that the thin walls were the only downfall. Breakfast was bare bones, but free; so you can't really complain. The staff was friendly. This is definitely a hotel that I would come back to!

Pool room has large private showers, easy to get ready after a swim without having to move through the hotel wet in a bathing suite. Rooms were bright, very clean. I was able to find some privacy to work in their business room after my husband and kids fell asleep. Everywhere they have signs saying that a goodnight sleep is their priority. We were happy that we actually could control the temperature in the room! Room had fridge and microwave. Grocery near by, my kids were happy with microwave popcorn and a movie after a long swim.

Only downside, no meats at breakfast.

Ive stayed here a dozen times. The rooms are very affordable and extremely clean. The breakfast is great and the location to Mystic is close as you'll get without being in the center of it. Nice value.
