This hotel is right off the highway and very close (5 minutes) from the Mohegan Sun casino making it a very good option when visiting the casino. Although I'd prefer to just stay at the casino, the prices and room availability are lousy. This hotel is a nice compromise. The room prices are much less and it seems easy enough to get a room even on short notice.
I stayed here for one night and found the accommodations to be just fine. It's no resort for sure, but what do you want from a Holiday Inn? The room was clean and comfy. The bed-which is all that really matters in a hotel like this- was very, very comfortable. The bathroom was small and the mirror wasn't tall enough for me (6'0'') so I couldn't see my face in it unless I ducked down. There was a small refrigerator in the room and the usual other options.
There is a bar and restaurant. I didn't try either. Instead try a breakfast/dinner place down the street called the Old Tymes Restaurant ([------------------]). It was the best breakfast I've ever had.
