“Luxurious surroundings. Gracious employees. Services- meh.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 23, 2012

It's true- I had high expectations for my visit to the Spa. The day ahead was a special treat. The accoutrements of the spa define luxury. Immaculate locker rooms piled high with luxurious white towels. Treatment rooms with comfy furnishings and peaceful music. The whirlpool area complete with basins of cold washcloths on shaved ice. The Kensington dining room is splendid with it's linen/ silver and crystal.
The treatments themselves were....disappointing. The 50 minute Signature massage was fine. Not great- we've had better massages that actually worked more of the body. The facial felt good- but for a cost of over one hundred dollars for this treatment alone I'd hoped for more visible results. (Did like the lip treatment though!). Our AM Yoga instructor was good but the class consisted of extremely diverse levels of ability so that it's hard to please everyone.
Our lunch that was part of the Renew You package was all flash with no substance: a tenderloin salad that consisted of fresh greens...perfectly cooked sliced pieces of tenderloin... and topped with slices of mozzarella and a balsamic vinaigrette. Other than the fresh greens and vinaigrette the salad was completely tasteless. The meat tender but no flavor. The cheese completely bland. How or why this was is beyond me- but not acceptable in a restaurant of this price range. My companion ordered a quesadilla with sweet potato fries. The dark brownish fries arrived cold.???????? This was at a time that the restaurant was not busy. Accidents happen but that topped off what was a lack- luster meal at best.
Someone else has written that the service is first rate and I agree. But not the quality of the treatments.
The cost of this package approached the three hundred dollar mark. There is even an "entrance" fee for those paying for the Spa but not staying at the Inn (16.55 plus tax). Combined with the individual experience of each service made for a day not worth repeating. I had truly expected otherwise.

“Great weekend get away!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 21, 2012

The inn is set in a lovey location surrounded by woods. The main building looks like a stately home from the early 1900s, traditional but not fussy. The service was great and attentive, the more was nice but could use updated furniture. The restaurant is very good, a nice breakfast buffet was included. The spa is first rate and its a great place foe a girls weekend away!

“Another amazing trip”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 20, 2012

Went back to the spa with a much different agenda than last time. Instead of many treatments, I chose one amazing treatment, Nirvana. It was incredible, luxury from head to toe. Shed my dead skin and made me feel better. Also had a tarot card reading. My first ever! Was really fun and engaging. Paula was amazing! Can't wait to see what happens.

Expensive! Service is first rate, but you do pay for it. But if you want a tranquil place this should suit your needs

“Great as always!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 29, 2012

Went here in Oct for my Bachelorette and came back again with Hubby this year for our Babymoon. Two thumbs up as usual. Place is neat and clean, service was excellent, and the price is great with the gratuitiy included. Will come back again!
