This was my 6th visit to the hotel/spa - it had become a yearly birthday retreat - My experience this year was as special as ever. From checkin in - to the room - to the spa facility - perfect. Food was phenomenal. in both restaurants and the drinks - superb. Only complaint this year - too many people - must avoid holiday weekends in the future -

Room Tip: Avoid holiday weekends for a more peaceful spa experience.

We can not say enough about the service and ambiance of the Inn. The front desk clerk was gracious and efficient. The room was a comfortable suite - couch, chair and 2 TVs, the bed was comfy, as you would expect in a classy place like this. We ate at the Ascot Pub which was cozy - complete with wood burning fireplace. I had a massage at the spa which was nice. Lots of ladies groups there for a girls weekend (my husband was the only male at breakfast) and going to breakfast and lunch in your terry robe (provided by the Inn) is encouraged... that's a little weird. The grounds of the Inn are wooded with walking trails and they offer early morning walks led by spa staff. Only regret was we didn't get to enjoy afternoon tea and wine tasting - you'd probably need to stay 2 nights to take it all in. We had a great time and hope to go again
soon.

I have stayed at this spa on several occasions and it is a wonderfully peaceful experience. The food in the Kensington is delicious, the staff in the restaurant and throughout the spa is friendly and hospitable. The rooms are nice both in the inn itself and in the villas.

The spa is nice; however, needs a bit of upgrading. The pool and spa facilities are shared by both men & women, which is a bit uncomfortable. There should be a women's side, a men's side and an area for couples.

I enjoyed the services (massages & facial) but they were not the best that I have received for the top dollar they charge. The fitness center is great! They have TVs and headphones for each machine and it is clean and well-kept.

I would highly recommend this spa to anyone who is looking for a relaxing weekend of pampering. One nice aspect is wearing your bathrobes throughout the inn (restaurants & sitting areas). Less than 5 minutes to Mohegan Sun is a plus!

Room Tip: If you are looking for privacy with a nice fireplace and living room/kitchen...reserve a villa. If...

We did a girl's night at the Norwich Inn-they had a spa/stay special. I highly recommend the hotel -the staff were wonderful and we each had a lovely room. We used room service for a cheese plate-great service and a good value. The resturants were all good-had a great breakfast -
The spa was immaculate-although a bit dated. The services were OK-not great-2 out of 3 massages were not that good. And it is a very expensive menu of services so for the price we paid f (150.00 for 50 minutes) we did not walk out of there totally satisfied.
Two of us used the salon-my pedicure was very good-but again, very expensive. My sister had a nice manicure-but again crazy expensive-
All in all we would go back to stay and eat but not use the spa.

We were greeted by the doorman, taken to reception desk ,both were friendly and courteous. The room was a different layout but was clean and very comfortable. We started off at the tea & scone
Hour which was delightful. We were kind of disappointed in the so called wine tasting ( more like wine lecture) the gentleman Will was Very informative but most of the 1/2 hour was taken up with lecture. There was 12 people there and we got a sip or two from a white and red wine. They should have stated this because most of the people left. We have gone to many tastings and they always gave you a descent amount of wine with cheeses/ fruit and the person pouring the wines
Would answer any questions but not take up the whole time with lecture and very little wine. The dinner was excellent as well as the breakfast the next morning. The pool was gorgeous, and my wife got a manicure. Over all a very relaxing visit.

My husband and I ushered in the New Year here for the second year in a row and again left feeling very satisfied and relaxed. Every staff member we encountered was friendly, accommodating, and helpful in an unobtrusive way. Our stress quickly melted away as we took advantage of the fitness classes, spa treatments, and luxurious spa facilities. The environment is classy and elegant while maintaining warmth and friendliness.

It is is a bit pricey to stay here and take advantage of their numerous treatments, but is all top notch and well worth the money. They offer multiple packages to make it more cost effective. The value is also increased when you factor in the free extras like tea and scones in the afternoon, evening wine tastings, and morning walk and meditation, to name but a few free items they offer.

The rooms are clean and well appointed with an English style decor. We chose to stay in the main inn so that we could travel to and from the spa in our robe and slippers as is customary there. The food throughout the inn is delicious and offers a nice variety of options that range from healthy to decadent. With a spa cafe, casual pub, & fine dining restaurant, we were able to meet all of our needs without leaving the building until it was time to bid the inn a sad farewell. We are looking forward to returning again some day to this blissful, peaceful, rejuvenating place.
