“Very Disgusted and Dissapointed.”

Norwalk Inn and Conference Center

I was very dissapointed to find they would NOT accept my AAA card for discount. As I do at every hotel, I gave them my AAA card when I checked out and paid my bill. They first of all said it was expired. Instead of taking it upon themselves to call AAA when I told them it wasn't I had to almost beg the girl behind the desk to pick up the phone. She was very disgusted and not in the least bit helpful. I have been a AAA member since 1992 and I knew my card was not expired. When she found out it wasn't expired she still only gave me credit for one night instead of all three nights we stayed. That amounted to $40.00 extra per night. As far as I am concerned this hotel stole $80.00 from me. I was advised by the people we met with in CT. before we came, to stay someplace else. I now wish I had heeded their advice. It was worth far more to me than the $80.00 the hotel stole from me. The ONLY way any of us would stay there in the future is on the vague chance that they would attempt to make things right with. Fat chance!

Thank you for choosing to stay at Norwalk Inn. The Inn values its AAA member guests and happily extends a discounted rate upon presentation of an unexpired membership card. At your convenience, kindly provide your name or the name under which accommodations were registered, dates of stay, and your AAA membership card number in order that we may research the incident and make the appropriate adjustment to your credit card. We hope you will consider our hotel again the next time you travel to Norwalk, CT.

“surprisingly great value for a lot less than you would expect to pay”

I'm not sure if the person who wrote the last review was talking about the right hotel - I think they have confused hotels because the Norwalk Inn is by far one of the best hotels my boyfriend and I have stayed at in a long time. We live in New York City and we enjoy taking weekend trips around New England. When it comes to a nice clean place to say that's not over-priced we highly recommend this one. Evedn though it rained this weekend and we ended up staying indoors instead doing the usual outdoor events we are used to, everyone who worked at the Norwalk Inn made our stay so comfortable. The food is delicious and the staff is willing to bend over backwards to get you what you need. I think they did a renovation or something 2 b/c they didn't have granite floors or marble the last time we came. Prices are fair we paid $109 as AAA. The only thing my boyfriend gets a little upset at is we have to keep our dog in the car since they r really stric on pets.

Stayed at this hotel for second time and will be back there for sure.
Especially for business the location is perfect (close by Int.95)
Its a family runned hotel with excellent service.
We would recommend to upgrade to a suite type room, which is only appr. US$ 10.00 more per night.

“aAcustomer-friendly, family-run place”

Norwalk Inn and Conference Center

I had a chance to stay at the Inn during a business trip to Fairfield County in
August and I have to say that it was exceptional.

The most notable thing about the place is that it's a family run establishment.
The owner's daughter, Lisa, took a personal interest in my stay and helped with
everything from wake-up calls to special luggage storage and transportation to
and from my convention. She even spent the better part of an hour telling me
about the better clubs and restaurants within easy driving distance.

Overall, this was a family-run place from a management that did the job and
cared, which matters, in my book.

The third good thing about the place were its affordable rates. It's not the
Waldorf Astoria by any means, but it's more than comfortable and well-run, and a
great value for the money. The hotel even has a relaxing cocktail lounge and a beautiful outdoor pool. So, overall, I'd give it a very high rating. I'd go
back in a minute.

It was a great escape from city life, and that horrible traffic on 95 (just mimutes away).

“Don't hold a meeting here”

Norwalk Inn and Conference Center

Nice to look at, and once considered a fine hotel, but the hotel shows it's age. We held a board meeting there when we couldn't get another space. The food was mediocre, the table cloths were dirty and had to be changed twice. The AC didn't properly cool the room (in July), which had a distinctly moldy odor to it (the meeting rooms are next to the pool).

The service was fine, but not much they could do to compensate for the shoddy surroundings. I would not recommend their meeting spaces.

Thank you for taking time to submit your review of your board meeting in Norwalk, CT. Your comments suggest that your negative experience was at an area hotel with a similar name or within our immediate vicinity. Our conference center space consistently maintains a 100 % guest satisfaction rating. Our meeting rooms are not located near or much less next to the outdoor swimming pool and The Inn is home to award winning Adam’s Rib Restaurant- a 50 year tradition of fine dining. All food served in corporate functions is prepared in its kitchen to the same quality standard. The same attention to detail extends to housekeeping matters such as the cleanliness of tablecloths. We note that you are a local resident and would like nothing more than to extend an invitation for a site tour of our state-of-the-art facility. We look forward to the opportunity.
