We had our first experience with Osteria Romana a year ago for our baby's Baptism and had an incredible experience. We were so excited to see they opened their next project, Romanacci. After having been there today for lunch to sample some of the menu, I'm disappointed it took us this long to visit!
As soon as we walked in and started eyeing the menu items, a staff member walked up to us right away to point out the different types of paninis and bakery items they had that day. The pizza chef then graciously showed us the types of pizzas and other dishes he made as well. Needless to say, it is such a warm and inviting atmosphere where the staff are so enthusiastic to help you and answer any questions you have. They really invite you into their family and take care of you.
We decided to try the Margherita pizza, spinach and mushroom pizza, homemade rice ball, and then brought home some sfogliatelles and a cream filled croissant. There were just too many appealing items, so it was a hard decision to make.
I have to say this is the best pizza I have had in Norwalk, hands down. The ingredients are so fresh and you can taste the love. The dough they make has such a good flavor to it. We bought by the slice, and they are extremely generous with the cuts they make. Not only is the pizza amazing, but the value is as well. Regarding the homemade sfogliatelles and croissants, they were just as good. If you go there and don't get a sfogliatelle to end the meal or for the road, you are missing out! These are the same sfogliatelles they have for Osteria's Sunday brunches. I have been to their brunch a couple times, and if you have as well, you know you will eat at least a couple of these things before you leave. We're so happy we can buy them anytime now in Romanacci!
Can't wait to go back. I am sure we will be there every week or two. Do not miss out!
