I have been in the Hospitality Industry for over 30 years and I can not say enough about this Motel! There are not many places to stay in New Milford and most people are more comfortable staying in a named brand Hotel/Motel becuase they know what they are getting. I read the online comments about this Motel BUT booked at a Bed & Breakfast instead (BIG MISTAKE) I found myself staying at a place where the innkeeper did not turn on the heat and my room did not have a TV among other things.
The woman at the Motel was extremly helpful and was able to accommodate me with such a short notice and the Motel was full. The accommadations were above and beyond Motel standards. They are comparable to any 4 star Hotel. The room I had was very large with a wonderfull bed, flat panel TV & beautiful welcome basket (which was a pleasant surprise) filled with snacks,fruit and assortment of drinks. The bathroom was large and had plenty of toiletries. Even a lighted make-up mirror and blow dryer. There was even a separate office, for those of us who work while on vacation.
I am going to stay there again in the near furture and recommending it to others when they travel to New Milford and the surrounding areas.

We stayed two nights at this little off the road hotel. I had read other reviews and since they were mostly positive, thought my husband
and I would give it a try. We loved the room we stayed in and the bed
was very comfortable. However, the only drawback was there were electrical outlets in the bathroom to plug a hairdryer, shaver, etc. I had to stand at the entrance to the bathroom where there was a plug
and try my best to dry my hair without a mirror. It seemed odd that the owners have this newly constructed building with great rooms but not plugs in the bathroom. Also, there was a tiny little shelf in the
bathroom to place your toiletries on but it only hold about 3 items. They need to put outlets and more shelving in the bathroom before I would consider staying here again.

Honestly one of the worst experience my family and I have had. We were charged extra to use a hot tub! They were clean but not at all customer friendly.

We were tired and didn't know where were going to stay. We ended up in New Milford, CT looking for a motel. There are none of the big chains here. The only two motels we found are out of town North on Rt. 7. We stopped at the Rocky River Motel because it looked OK. Reception lady told my wife she had 2 rooms one for a lower price and one for a higher price. She looked at both rooms. The first was in the older part which was clean and decent. We chose the higher priced one in the "New Building" which was unbelievable. We had a scrumptiously comfortable king bed with a down comforter and excellent pillows. On the wall directly across was a 46 inch plasma wall mount TV angled for bed viewing. We also had a giant bathroom with herbal organic supplies in abundance, Moen fixtures, and a marble floor. In addition there was an office like separate room for our laptop complete with desk and chair. Wireless internet was strong and fast and cell service was good. The amenities also included a large closet, microwave, refrigerator, stainless ice bucket, glass drinking glasses, lighted make up mirror and coffee maker. Ice was around the corner. and the staff (mostly family) treated us with great courtesy. This is a great place to stay.
