This was place is awful. Tired and worn at the very best. It has a nasty smell in the rooms. The hallways are dank and dark and do not look clean at all.

Our room did not feel clean - I couldn't put my finger on it but it just didn't feel clean. There were some stray hairs left in the tub - yuck!!!. Additionally, you couldn't use the tub as a tub because the the facuet didn't work. It only worked as a shower. But when I saw the hairs still in the tub, I didn't want to take a bath anyway.

The heat/ac was horrible. It was humid and rainy day and we needed to ventilation but we either had heat or super cold a/c couldn't regulate to just circulate air. So we nearly froze trying to get some air cirulation.

Parking in the back is a nightmare. We left to go have some dinner and when we returned all the parking for the hotel guest is taken by customers of the Outback.

I paid more for this hotel than I did for the Marriott in New Britain which was way, way nicer than this Holiday Inn.

The really need to invest some money into this place and bring it up to cleanliness level.

The Holiday EXPRESS is in Mystic....The HOLIDAY INN is in New London....WE stayed at the New London HELL HOLE...We saw the ad for $69/night rooms which jumped to $129 when we arrived due to only a few rooms left.....ok, we were going by the in-town ferry to BLOCK island..and this hotel was close...so we stayed in a smoker's room...still not preferred...but ok....then at 2:45 am, guests in the next door room had put up a sign in their open window of " BEER STORE OPEN" and partied loud and long till we left at 5:15 am.....after we had called the desk twice.......and as we left, the desk stated they could take a few bucks off the bill....The next night we stayed at the Mariott in Mystic....SAME PRICE...(we did not think it could be but it was)...and we had a fireplace, jacuzzi tub, 4 poster bed in a converted 1771 mansion with a breakfast including eggs,bacon,waffles,pancakes.....and a complimentary Bottle of a choice of 3 wines......NO COMPARISON FOLKS....DONT do the hell hole in New London.....I'd have spent the extra ten minute (tops) drive to go back to Mystic, Ct

Booked this hotel on a whim for a last second getaway to the Connecticut casinos. I thought the hotel was decent for the money. Clean, quiet, comfortable, very friendly staff. Very convenient to the highway, casinos, and nearby shops and restaurants. Our room did not have PPV, which was a bit of a drag, but did get many cable television stations...more than most other hotels.

I would stay here again.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 1 night in April. We had tickets to see a concert at the Mohegan Sun and that hotel was sold out. The Holiday Inn is right on I95. Unfortunately, they did not have a non smoking king size room available. But we took it anyway as several hotels in the area were already sold out. This hotel and a few others nearby have a shuttle service to the Mohegan Sun. It cost about $22.00, but they give you a coupon for $10 to gamble and a free buffet/or $10 off another restaurant. It was our first time to the Mohegan Sun and as the shuttle was entering flashing signs indicated that 2 parking lots were already full - we were glad that we didn't have to worry about finding parking. We were able to have a few drinks and not worry about driving as the shuttle was door to door service. The following morning the staff at the Holiday Inn restaurant were great! It's not an elegant hotel, but I would recommend it because the staff were great and it is really convenient.
