My husband and I stayed here for a wedding. The room was clean but very outdated. My main complaint was that the AC barely worked. We we did complain to the front desk and they responded very quickly and had a maintenance person come up. He was very apologetic when he said we were one of the lucky ones because at least our unit blew some air - as there were many in the hotel that were not working at all.

There were 2 nights we relaxed in the bar with many of the wedding guests that were staying at the hotel (over 60 guests). Thursday night was great but Friday night - the bartenders were extremely rude and impatient. Not only that but one of the bartenders asked us to leave so he could host a private party for his friends/family. He had a very bad attitude about the whole situation.

Overall, if you need to stay in New London this is a good location (great parking!) and most of the staff are very nice and accommodating. If I couldn't find a nicer B&B I would stay here again. Although, I would absolutely agree that this is not a 3-star hotel and rooms are over-priced for what they are during the weekend.

We checked in online early in the day to ensure that we got a non-smoking room because I am very allergic to smoke. We were told by the front desk that the person who was supposed to set aside these rooms "forgot" to do so and was very unapologetic that we had to stay in a smoking room.
The room was run down , and not very clean.
The tile in the bathroom floor was loose and the floor was sticky.
The manager was supposed to call me when they got in and never did so.
Very overpriced.

I booked the Radisson for a one night stay. Even though I live in CT, I wanted to be close to the casinos and other weekend plans. It was a great stay.

The lobby was clean and attractive at check in. Staff was pleasant and helpful. I did not take the shuttle but the driver was in the lobby when I checked in and seemed quite nice. The shuttle departed on time and had several drop off/pick up times available.

My room was a lot nicer than I expected it to be based on some of the reviews. Loved the sleep number bed, and the room was large and clean. It was a non smoking room and did not smell at all of smoke...and I have a sensitive nose. TV got lots of channels and bathroom was new and clean. I realized I forgot my toothbrush and toothpaste and front desk was able to provide replacements no problem. Hotel was quiet and I got a great night's sleep.

Yes, there is what appears to be public housing behind the hotel. The police station is also a block away. I was not at all worried.

I'm a hotel snob and I was impressed with this hotel. I got a great rate and the only hotels in the area that I think are better (other than the casino properties) are the Marriott and Hilton which are easily 3 - 4 times what I paid at the Radisson, and not that much nicer. Give the Radisson a try, it is a comfortable little hotel. Check Priceline and/or Hotwire before you book and you can save a little money!

Before arriving to the hotel, I was curious as to what the reviews were for this hotel, so I checked them out online. I was very discouraged by what I had read, and was not looking forward to staying in this hotel for 2 nights while we visited the casinos! Well, DONT always believe everything you hear/read! The front desk was very helpful, and friendly. Overall, the hotel was very clean, as was our room. The only downfall to the hotel was its' location..kind of a rough neighborhood, but oh well, just lock your car I guess! also, so we wanted to go swimming in the indoor pool, but the water was a bit cloudy, so we changed our minds! Only about 25 mins from foxwoods, and about 10 from Mohegan Sun! Will definitely stay here again if we can get the same $60.00night rate.. Sleep number bed was awesome!
