Damn this is some good pizza. It's simple, it's no-frills, it's something people seek out and drive out of their way for. So that should tell you something. Tucked on the "Little Italy" street in New Haven, there's a parking lot and plenty of benches outside in case you can't get inside (super long waits!). We called ahead to order, then picked up our large tomato pie (with cheese!) and ate on benches outside.
This isn't crazy big-city artisanal stuff. This isn't stuff you get in Naples. It's just really filling, comforting and delicious thin pizza. The tomato is just the right amount of tart. The cheese is chewy and filling. The dough is so good you'll want to finish all your crust. Not much else to say, just worth the detour on 95.
