“Yummy Brunches, Especially for The Savory Breakfast Fan”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 26, 2013

I think that Bella's does sweet specialities, but their creativity really shines on the savory side. We would go multiple times, and happily fuel up for at least most of the day.
Delicious and creative.

“Brunch between lax and swimming!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 16, 2013

Needed lunch between my son's lacrosse tournament and his swim meet. Quick check of Trip Advisor revealed Bella's Cafe a mere two miles away. Grabbed a seat at the bar and ordered the Chili Rellenos (pepper stuffed with rice, shrimp and sausage with scrambled eggs on top.). It was delicious!

“Good food and generous portions!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 15, 2013

i stopped in for a late breakfast today, having remembered a pleasant experience from a previous visit months ago. The staff was extremely friendly and despite the crowd they were very attentive. The wild mushroom omelet with goat cheese was tasty but a tad dry. I blame myself myself more then them as I neglected to ask for it any special way. The accompanying potatoes were well seasoned and delicious and the portions sizes ample. I expect a return visit.

“Scrumptious lunch....just a tiny glitch”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 17, 2013

I took my teenaged son for lunch after running errands in the neighborhood. We had never eaten @ Bella. Unlike others we hardly had a wait at all. The menu was fabulous and my son and I had outta-this-world lunches. I took home a sandwich and tabouli for my husband. He thoroughly enjoyed his sandwich, but on his first bite into the tabouli he felt and heard a "crack!" He had chipped his (dental) bridge- and sure enough, after spitting out the mouthful, we found a small stone that blended in with the grain. We realized it would be our word against their's. All we had was chipped dentalwork and this tiny stone, but no real proof, so we didn't pursue it. The food was to die for, but sadly my husband refuses to ever go again.

“Tremendous brunch!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 25, 2013

I went to this place very last-second with a friend, and what a find! This is one of the best breakfasts I've ever had!

We sat at the counter and ordered two plates, and split them. The french toast and the waffles -- need I say more? Surrounded by fresh berries, delicious sauces and whipped cream. It was just so delicious! I would come back here in a heartbeat when I return to New Haven.
