“Beatiful scenery”

Inn at Mystic

Fantastic setting. We stayed in the Mansion House in the same room that Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall stayed in on their honeymon. absolutley amazing settings and beautiful scenery. Rooms immaculate, 4 poster beds and japanese soaking tubs and roaring fires. The perfect setting for a romantic night. Had a very 'colonial' feel to the place but the teas and cream cakes in the afternoon were very well recieved. Highly recommended

“It was only alright”

Inn at Mystic

We were given a room that seemed sort of like a Motor-Lodge type room. There was a fireplace in the room and the room had a very heavy smell of fireplace smoke, like maybe the smoke out take is not great. The view was there....but you have to stand on tip toes and look out a window to see it. Not the kind of thing you can open your window and sit and enjoy the view. We did enjoy the jacuzzi tub. Pretty well worn room. TV was very small and in a cabinent that was not across from the bed...so no relaxing in bed with a cup of coffee and catching up on the news. We went to the museum so missed the tea. The breakfast was good. Lots of food and lots of choices. We were treated fine by the staff at check in. They let us look at a second room in the Mansion but the women who were over there were less than welcoming. We decided to stay in the other section after all for the privacy. We slept fine in the room. Bathroom was okay...just had a motel feel to the entire room. It is pretty pricey for what you get. We ate dinner in the bar since we were tired from our museum day. The bartender was great. He treated us well and we ate from the regular menu. We found the food to be delicious. We loved Mystic and but for the money would probably be better off in another facility. It is nothng like the pictures on the Inn's website.

“What a Joke!!”

Inn at Mystic

This has to be the worst travel experience my wife and I have ever had.The innkeeper is greedy, rude and not one bit concerned about her guests.Overpriced rooms, food in restaurant horrible! We were told by our server that the place had just lost an excellent chef and we were better off eating at Bravo Bravo or some of the other restaurants in the downtown area

“Lovely Weekend in Mystic”

My husband and I recently celebrated our anniversary at the Inn at Mystic and we had one of the loveliest times we have spent in our years together. The Inn itself is located on a hill overlooking the Mystic Harbor, but the great location is only part of its many charms.
We spent our weekend in the Gate House, which is a lovely little cottage located on a secluded, woody area of the property. Our room was so cozy and private that we found it hard to leave after our brief stay! It wasn't until we arrived that I learned Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Becall honeymoon in the cottage where my husband and I were celebrating our years together, and we could not have been more delighted.
Aside from the quaint and rustic accommodations, the Inn's Floodtide restaurant is reason enough alone to visit. Our dinner was superb, and the full breakfast in the morning rounded out a fantastic getaway. I can't wait to come back and would highly reccommend the Inn at Mystic to anyone who appreciates a lovely Inn in a beautiful New England setting.

Let me just say this: Smelly musty rooms, filthy carpeting, suspicious looking bugs, (I'm still itchy from the dirt in the room), double beds referred to as queen.

Inept and rude desk clerks all over seen by owner/manger lacking class and manners. When I tried to talk to her about the bug she snapped at me and then walked away refusing to complete our conversation. With her attitude I surprised anyone vists a second time.

Do not believe the pictures on the internet. I wish I had read more reviews before we booked this dump. It was so bad we cut our New England visit short just to get out of there.

Stay at any other hotel/motel/inn in Mystic, but DO NOT stay at the Inn at Mystic
