Excellent - creative pan asian offerings in a quaint atmosphere. I love the spicy dishes.

If you go get the fried ice cream...it's the best!

I was just there in Mystic on business. The second night of my stay, I saw on line about a place called Azu and Bravo Bravo, so I drove over there and could not find parking, so I decided to try Rice, Spice Noodles and I am so glad I did. I admit I am really boring about my choices mostly, so i was a little nervous. I ordered the grilled marinated pork and it was delicious and like butter. It came with very nice field greens. I had a cup of tea which ithought a little pricey for $4 but...that's must me. I tried the fried ice cream and it was lucious. I had such a good experience, I went again last night and had some Thai noodles with beef and really enjoyed it, along with a dish of sauteed green vegetables., I think Chinese broccoli. They were sauteed to perfection and so green. The service, also is impeccable..the waiters I had both nights were both excellent.

(I did try Azu and it was good, but the service at rice spice much better)

Rice Spice Noodles is the best Thai food experience you will have in this area. What impresses me is that food has excellent taste and is not dependent on spiciness or heat to make it satisfying. Asking the chef to "douse" with heat is a waste and will not add to the food. Also, you will not become hook on one particular item here and repeat it over and over again as each dish is excellent. This is not "Americanized" thai food where peanut sauce and satay are the staples but rather creative tastey creations. Eat in or take out, you will not be disappointed.
