Different strokes for different folks but.....as a family of 3 we love to try new places and enjoy good quality food at reasonable prices. We know Mystic is a tourist destination and have been there twice now. From other reviews you would choose the S & P for ambience and location on the river. Yes, it is very pretty and the flowers lovely but that's where it ended for us. We expected to pay close to $100 for 3 of us but didn't expect to walk away hungry. There was a disparity in entree sizes. Our daughter had a great cajun shrimp alfredo pasta and the portion was generous. My husband had the swordfish special and the 3.5" piece of fish and 1/4 cup of rice with a teeny garnish of veggies left him rather unsatisfied. I hoped that my baby spinach salad topped with tuna would do the trick but when it arrived on a 4" x 6" plate I was very disappointed and HUNGRY! The bread brought first off helped but the $9.50 margarita in a short tumbler was a rip off. Here in the NJ/NYC area we might pay $6.50-$7.50 but the margaritas are in big goblet glasses! We left there as soon as possible in search of something else to take the edge off and would not recommend wasting money there. A better choice is the Skipper's Dock in Stonington, just a short drive away; you sit right over the water, and while no seafood is cheap, the portions were healthy and satisfying.
