Unfortunately most of the reviewers don't seem to have a clue about the quality of what they are eating at the oyster club. The creativity and originality and taste the food there puts The oyster club at a level far above any of the other restaurants in a 20 mile radius. We have dinner there at least once a week, and when we occasionally try another restaurant in the area we have always been disappointed and returned to the oyster club For what we consider some of the finest food we have ever. We feel that it is important to go there on the nights when the executive chef, James Wayman, is in charge. Other nights are quite good but so far they do not rise to the level that James regularly produces. It is also a good idea to get there for the first sitting, at 5 o'clock, before the restaurant fills up.
