“Great variety of stores”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 24, 2014 via mobile

This place is always a "must stop in" place for us when we are in the area. There is such a variety of stores here that you can really pick up something for everyone. The Tibetan store is one of my favorites...

“I Love Mystic”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 24, 2014

This little village is fabulous. The entire town is for that matter. I seriously contemplated moving here. There isn't so much to do and If you are from a large city or metropolitan are you will probably find it a bore. The village has many shops and restaurants there is something wrong if you cant find what you're looking for. Bleu Squid Bakery and Cheese Shop was where I had lunch, they make specialty grilled cheese sandwiches.

“Good place for tchotkes.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 23, 2014

Seems like these little old time villages are in all the touristy places now. This one is nice and has a good variety of shops. It is anchored with a large restaurant. And adjacent to Mystic Aquarium. We used it to fill in some time at the end of the day with the kids. Unfortunately they do close early.

“Nice afternoon with the family”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 23, 2014

My family and I spent a nice afternoon walking through Olde Mistick Village this past Easter weekend. There a lot of nice shops and great places to stop to grab a bite to eat or a snack. Our daughter particularly loved all of the ducks at the pond and we spent time just watching them. Its a nice place to walk around and is within steps from the aquarium.

“Good for what it is”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 22, 2014

Having visited the location numerous times in the past (and quite happily), I cannot fathom why they portray this as "Living history museum of life in the 1700's". Mystic Seaport is somewhat closer to that, but Old Sturbridge Village it ain't.
Its a "village" of colonial style buildings that house modern day shops, restaurants, and some local businesses. Its a great place to spend some time looking about, trying the various treats, and on occasion finding some unique items.
Since its not an "attraction" there is no admission fee, and they have various festivals and other events throughout the year so its worth stopping by from time to time. The access and parking couldn't be better.
Oh, and the ducks are neat (the kids love them anyway).
