“Nice stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 20, 2013

Reserved 3 rooms for whole family and visited in January. Good location close to highway but no noise in the room. The room big enough well equipped and clean. Good sleeping. The breakfast very good with big selection. The hotel looks rather occupied sometimes lobby arae rather noisy.
Finally very good stay.

We're a family of three. The good: staff was GREAT, helpful, friendly, responsive, professional; pool was small but nice for kids. Breakfast was good (at least the eggs/sausage/toast -- wife said oatmeal left something to be desired); king mattress was VERY comfortable. The bad: the suites are very small. We used the sofa-bed and needed to move a dresser to get to the door when opened, had a struggle finding a workable place for the suitcase but found it in the alcove with the sink by the bathroom; needed to call down to get a third set of towels even though as we checked in they knew we were three (they sent them up within five minutes though); walls and windows could be more soundproofed (on throughway side we could still hear trucks and some people were hanging out in the stairwell at midnight and briefly woke us up).

If you're a sound sleeper or not near the stairs (or I imagine, elevator) and can maneuver around small rooms easily; it's great. Otherwise, it's ok.

My boyfriend and i stayed at the springhill suites for valentines day just to get away from everyone. I myself work at a hotel so i know all thats involved in being in guest services. We had a later checkin at 11pm. Esau at the front desk was wonderful to us. He didnt hurry us along and was patient with our questions. When we got to the rolm we thought it was really good so we went to the bar to have a drink. Michael, running the bar, was the nicest associate you have i loved him!!!! When we got back to the room we noticed blood on the sheets and we had to take the top sheet off sleeping on the limp duvet. Tried to call the desk five times and no answer. Room right near the highway. Aside from that it was an alright stay. Good to get away for the night and i had a good time in the bar.

We stayed at this hotel on a Friday night for a decent rate($80). The hotel location is very convenient being right off I-95 and while there aren't many eating options close by, there are lots of restaurants and a mall just a couple exits North on Post Rd/US 1 in Milford/Orange. We had no problems with check-in. As was pointed out we did have to sign an agreement outlining that there will be no partying, and were issued parking permits(which were useless photocopies that could easily be duplicated or faked... not sure the reason for using them, the parking lot is plenty big). We used the computer in the lobby to print an email coupon, which worked great. Did not get breakfast so I can't comment on that.

This definitely was an older Springhill property and it showed in some areas. Our room had the standard little kitchen area which is nice to have. The HDTV was the first one I've ever encountered that didn't have a port to plug in a VGA cord from a laptop, because it was a much older model. Worse there wasn't a SINGLE HD channel, all the regular channels looked mediocre at best. Ditch the old PPV system, it's 2012 not 2002. Bathroom was fine, and the room overall was clean. The HVAC worked ok, although it seemed to want to stop cooling even with the fan set ON and the temp as low as it could go, perhaps this was due to the motion sensor.

The HVAC couldn't drown out the NOISE from I-95 though! EVERY single truck we could hear go by, which did not make for an easy time falling asleep. I imagine the rooms on the other side of the hotel are quieter, I will never stay here again unless i'm on that side, and then it's questionable. Did not have the best night's sleep from the constant noise of trucks going by. If you are a light sleeper consider another hotel. Oddly enough I've stayed at the Fairfield Inn just a minute away on the other side of I-95 and didn't hear traffic.

After reading some other recent reviews about vehicle break-ins and my not so restful night sleep, I'm not sure I'll stay here again. Plenty of other hotels in the area.

Room Tip: AVOID the side facing the hallway at all costs. VERY loud!

We stayed at this hotel purely for the Jacuzzi room. The room was set up very awkward and inconvenient. It seemed like everything was placed randomly. They did have a microwave and small fridge, but it was small and cramped. All the decor was stuck in the 80's and very wild and unappealing. The TV was not able to be seen nicely from the bed and was too far away. I did not like being on the ground floor, but that is not the hotels fault. Breakfast was very tasty and well put together. I also like the pantry. They were strict on the policies such as no parties, no confetti, and a lot of other weird things. The staff was nice, but definitely not there to make it a "home away from home". The room was loud, and you could hear the water running from other rooms. The ice machines did not work. I would not stay here again, its average at best, there are plenty of other hotels to stay at for the price.

I am a frequent Marriott Hotel guest and elite status member, but they can keep this property! The hotel staff was not very friendly, hurried us along during check in and made us sign a "no party agreement" on New Year's eve for a night that the hotel was not even fully booked! Also a parking pass was given that informed us that our car valuables should be left out of sight. That should have been our first clue not to stay in this hotel. Of course, when we woke up New Year's Day, a patron's car had been robbed and there were 2 police cars there! Yes, it is convenient from the highway, but the rooms have not been updated since probably the 1980's. We stayed in a jacuzzi suite with a microwave and refrigerator for $200 and it was way overpriced for the condition of the room. The furniture was old and scratched, carpet worn and not clean and the TV frame was melted and the room did not feel clean. This is your best room in the hotel? The jacuzzi worked great. However, it was next to the other jacuzzi room and you could hear their very loud water running while you were trying to sleep, etc. When I asked the manager for another room due to the condition and the loud water issue, she could not have even be bothered to talk to us face-to-face, nor compenste us in any way for the high priced, low rated room. Instead, she hurriedly ran down the hall to deliver towels to other patrons whom I hope didn't also overpay for their room. The pool was small and FULL of kids and not worth the effort. The lobby looks as if it has been updated, but Marriott needs to continue this throughout the hotel and get surveillance cameras for thier parking lot! I am making sure that Marriott receives this review and also that I will not stay at this hotel again! Get rid of the staff and start over!

Room Tip: Don't go to this hotel until they fix all of these problems!

CONVENIENT! This hotel is easily accessible off of I-95, an easy drive to restaurants and shopping. The room itself (King Suite) was very nice: king bed, nice linens, micro-fridge and microwave, desk with high-speed wireless internet connection. The pool hours were a little inconvenient (opens at 9:00am), so I did not have a chance to use, although it was small (no lap swimming there). The breakfast was ample and the serving area was large and well-stocked. I would stay here again.
