“hotel is ok for a short stay”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 8, 2012

The room was ok, nothing special. Only one TV which was located in the seating area, which could not be seen well from the beds in the other room.

Staff was friendly and attentive.

Limited parking, had to search for a spot.

Great stay over the obviously busy Thanksgiving weekend. We saw family after family coming in Thanksgiving night. Our room was large and had a great layout. Kind of a segmented studio with a mini kitchen living room area and a half wall separating the bed area. The room was clean and the swiveling tv was a big hit. Breakfast was good and fun. Everyone liked the wafflemaker and they had good coffee. My son wanted to move there permanently. I would definitely go back.

Stayed at the SpringHill Suites over thanksgiving weekend with my wife. We had a king-size bed, which we both (especially me) found very hard, since I sleep on my side. Woke up many times during the night. Room was also much TOO WARM for sleeping, even with the heat set at the very coolest setting. 2nd night we slept with window open, which was OK. Hotel service was excellent, free wireless worked OK, and breakfast was good, with fresh scrambled eggs, sausage, and self-service waffles. Unfortunately, my main interest is a comfortable bed. The room had a nice large HDTV, but, as usual, no HD channels.

Room Tip: We specified a quiet room up high away from the highway, and it WAS quiet.

Low end Marriott. Cleanliness average to below average. Breakfast was a zoo. No eggs, no non stick spray for waffles. Disaster. You get what u pay for, which is not much. Stains on chair in room. Dirt in bathroom. Door hinge broken in bathroom.

I just spent a week in the Milford area and stayed at the SpringHill Suites in Milford, CT and it was the perfect choice. The hotel is located in an ideal location. The room was clean, bright, spacious and comfortable. Hotel staff are very nice especially the overnight manager Ernie who was very helpful in providing valuable insight about the area. Ernie and the breakfast manager Michele made me feel like I was at home with the service that they provided. I would definitely stay there again when I am in the area.

My husband and I stayed here to visit family on the Columbus Day weekend. The staff is extremely welcoming and friendly. Rooms are a nice size with a separate area with a couch, and chair and a kitchen area with a microwave and decent size refrigerator. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The rooms and hall look recently redone. We were in the back away from the road, it was very quiet.

The breakfast was good but not great. The cereal selection seemed geared to children, fruit loops, cheerios, cornflakes, and oatmeal. There were bagles, english muffins and toast. There were some apple spice muffins too as well as eggs and sausages. I didn't try them. Parking is free, and so is wifi internet through out the hotel. There is an indoor pool and fitness center that overlooks the pool.
One day we took the train, just three miles away, into Manhattan for the day. It is an 80 minute ride to Grand Central Station. The hotel is right off Rt. 95, and is next to a Red Roof Inn, and a Marriott Residence Inn.

Room Tip: The rooms in the front face a busy road, ask to be in the back of the hotel.

Recently stayed one night at this property on a multi-state visit. We had a 2 double bed suite, which was very comfortable and clean. It had a microwave/frig with a kitchen sink. Chair/ottoman and couch with a tv in one room; a partial divider with 2 comfortable beds on the other side. The bathroom was large (only con was the tub was a little slow to drain, but not a big problem). It had a sink outside of the bath room. You can hear a "little" road noise, but with the "fan" running, it was not bad. We just had cereal in our room, so did not eat breakfast at this location. With our AAA rate, it was reasonably priced. The staff recommended a good place to eat (a grill), but I can't immediately recall the name. Enjoyable visit, I recommend and would definitely stay again.
