TERRIBLE STAFF AND EXTREMELY RUDE SERVICE! I have never written a review about any product nor restaurant before, good or bad, but I am compelled to comment on the service I received one day in May at this restaurant- which was EXTREMEMLY RUDE. I have vowed to never go here again. I do not endorse this restaurant and I would discourage anyone from going here! My husband and I had been there a number of times previously to get food (which is delicious by the way), on separate occasions, and each of us has spok of getting sort of dismissive service from the staff. The very last time I was in I asked for curried chicken, the woman there told me that it was not ready- ok, no big deal- So I asked what was available and she said jerk or stewed chicken. I told her that I would prefer something not hot/or too spicy. Dismissively she recommended stewed chicken. I began eating- it was not hot and it was delicious- I was so happy and was thinking- I am definitely getting this again next time I come. As I continued to eat I started to taste something burning hot underneath the stewed chicken and on top of the rice right in the center of my meal. My mouth was ON FIRE. It was if something was placed right in the center of my meal like really hot hot sauce or ultra hot bits of a hot pepper- (the hottest I have EVER had). It was so hot I couldn't swallow and I was in tears. This was not your average taste of hot sauce or red pepper- this was the hottest thing I have ever tasted in my life to date!! I was also thinking what if my 20 month old daughter had been with me and I had given her a bite??!! I went right up to the counter and told the woman who served me my food- she only attempted to feign concern, she was not really worried or apologetic- odd-- she offered me a bottle of water and I told her I would take it (everyone knows water is the worst thing for a buring mouth) but could not eat the meal it was so out of control HOT - I told her again 2 more times and I said how much is this meal that I cannot eat? -She didn't charge me. Everything felt off- the vibes, the smugness, the dismissive attitude- the way the woman handled me- I was so upset- I am normally the most unassuming person but this intense hotness tucked away in the dead center- middle of my meal combined with her smugness and general attitude about the whole thing just felt deliberate. I left the restaurant so upset and walked outside looking for relief from my burning mouth I ran into the diner right next door and ordered a glass of milk to drink- I couldn't get it fast enough, I chugged it down and then ordered another and chugged that too. Once again, I have vowed to never go here again. I do not endorse this restaurant and I would discourage anyone from going here!
