“Beware of Room 204 & the Breakfast”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 weeks ago

Clean, comfortable bed, small room. Overall, it's a good deal considering the cost, especially when compared to the cost of nearby hotels. That said, we encountered two frustrating issues:

1) We were placed in room 204, which is directly above the waiting area for the shuttle to the main Foxwoods casino. We were awoken several times during the night and morning with fellow occupants talking, laughing, arguing, etc. as they waited for the shuttle. When we said something during checkout, the front desk was apologetic and nice, but given the situation I would've expected a gesture of good faith. Even a free coffee or juice with breakfast would've gone a long way.

2) The breakfast at The Grill at Two Trees, at $13.00+ is horrible. First, they do not give you much of a menu to choose from if you do not go with the buffet. So, given a lack of choice, we went with the $13/person buffet. There were four of us who were unable to eat even 1/4 of what we took from the buffet. The waitress, who noticed that we were not happy, charged us for 3 full brunches and one children brunch (savings of $4). A nice gesture, but given that we probably ate $3 worth of food - not enough. We had to run to Dunkin' Donuts after we left to get something real to eat. Huge rip-off. Stay away from the brunch at The Grill at Two Trees.

Room Tip: Rooms away from front entrance of hotel.

Clean, comfortable and nice pool. The lobby had a nice working fireplace comfortable seats around fireplace. It reminds me of a ski lodge the bed was nice room was a nice size. The hotel was not attached to casino but the hotel has a shuttle bud. Easy to get to casino the shuttle runs every 20 minutes or so.

Stayed at Two Trees for one night. Room was clean, acceptable, nothing special. Yet, we didn't expect anything too special. The shuttle bus to the casino(s) runs frequently. We decided to walk to the Rainmaker - uphill, but doable for able bodies. No complaints.

Room Tip: first floor is easy in and out

we had reservations at the fox tower but due to storm worries we cancelled within the 48 hour required time. The storm fizzled. when we called to make new reservations we heard the recording that all fees would be waived for cancellations due to the storm. I mentioned this to the person on the phone who had no sympathy and only had rooms at more than 2 times our prior price. We then booked our 2 rooms at the two trees at more than our original price at the tower.
What a dump!!!!
Filthy carpets
In desperate need of paint job
We think they take the old mattresses from the towers to this dump after they are no longer up to the tower standards.
Worse than that - the casinos were fairly empty so I could see no reason for not honoring our first price.
Will never go back to two trees.
Might have to think twice about any Foxwoods hotel.

We have stayed at this hotel in the past over the years, but this is the first time I was disappointed...would I stay there again? Maybe...but there was nothing compelling to get me to stay when other hotels have free shuttles, etc....the reason for booking was the two room suite and having a separate sitting area from the beds...this I still like...but I think the quality and maintenance of the rooms has gone down drastically.

If a room sleeps six people, and you know four are booked into the room why leave only 3 towels, each day we had to get more.

There is not store on site to buy snacks, no continential breakfast, etc...one night we paid over 350 for the room for what? Even at a Hampton Inn we get more...

Will definitely be checking out some of the other hotels like the new Hilton Garden Inn, etc next time.

My husband and i went for a trade show. The Foxwood was booked so they told us they also own a hotel across the street. The Foxwood being a decent hotel, I thought it would be fine as they have a shuttle that connects the properties. We rented a suite. At first glance when we arrived, it looked fine. After we checked-in and on our way to our suite, we noticed walls needed paint and it looked worn out. When we stepped in to the suite, it looked liked a shabby rent by
the hour place. The closet door had fallen on the floor. We changed dumps (they called it suite).
Door was on but paint was peeling off. Did not want to take shoes off or sit on the sofa, Yuk!

Booked a room for $300 only to go in the room and there were bugs in it. On the bed on the wall and the ceiling. When I called the front desk, the response from the guy on the phone was " you should see my house. And if it's a big deal I guess I can send someone up there to suck them up with a vacuum". I was totally appalled and when I spoke with the manager he said they would send someone to clean them room. Well when we got back to the room after it was supposedly cleaned. We walk into the room with the manager only to see yet another bug on the ceiling above the bed.

He had a look of shock on his face. At this point he said he would upgrade up to s suite. Only for us to walk into the suite and find yet ANOTHER bug crawling on the ceiling. He claimed they had this problem last week and thought it was under control. Well obviously it isn't because these two rooms were on opposite sides of the hotel.

This hotel is disgusting and I wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy. Yuck

Room Tip: My tip. Don't go here. It's the worst hotel ever.

Michelle B, Front Office Manager at Two Trees Inn, responded to this review, November 4, 2014
The insects were found to be ladybugs which are common to this region. Due to the unusually warm weather at this time of year they are appearing indoors throughout the area. At your convenience I may be contacted to personally discuss this matter with you.
