For a change we decided to try the buffet at Foxwoods Casino. Disappointed to say the food was only mediocre but the deserts were excellent.
Back to the food, not enough variety, not especially appetizing and too much emphasis on fried foods. Most of the patrons were eating the seafood and I guess if you are a fan than this may be the place for you. There are mussels, snow crab legs and shrimp (boiled and deep fried).
Conversely the selection and quality of deserts is excellent. If you are a person with a sweet tooth come prepared. The baked goods include a selection of pies, cookies and cakes (full size and mini). The soft serve ice cream is also very good. There is a vast selection of sauces and toppings to add to the deserts. Puts most bakeries to shame.
Tip: Be sure to sample the bread pudding and fruit cobbler.
