“Good sea food wanting more”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 21, 2012

Food is OK but missing something. Seems like everything is fried and it tastes like it. Portions were small but priced accordingly.

“The Clam Castle is No. 1”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2012

Very, very good, fresh fried seafood. We shared the Fisherman's Platter (2 of us) and it was more than enough. The platter had a wonderful combo of fish and shellfish served with french fries and onion rings. We sat at an outdoor picnic table under shelter. It was the perfect meal after a day at Hammonassett Beach. I would most definitely go back again.

“Bad for the arteries, but yummy in my tummy!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 16, 2012

A basic place for fried seafood. Had the 3 way combo - whole clams, shrimp and scallops. Everything was fried well, fresh and hot. Delicious. In my opinion, much better than the Fish Tales across the street.

However, the clear clam chowder was bland and devoid of clams - it was more of carrots in a salty water.

The platters are big enough to share.

“Fresh fast seafood”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 5, 2012

Went here on a sunny saturday. It was not that busy so we were able to sit inside and avoid the humidity. There are picnic tables in the direct sun and also underneath a larger size tent for shade. The order comes up pretty quick. They use canola oil to fry their fish in. We got clam strips and fried shrimp. These tasted very good, light batter and very fresh tasting. Prices are reasonable for a quick take out type of food service. They bring out your food for you (inside) so you can start eating right away. A nice change if you do not want the waiter type service of other seafood places.

“Whole belly clams- the best in the world”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 25, 2012

Not much atmosphere. It's a shack with outdoor seating (our dog loved it too). But if you like fried fish you can not find any fresher or better. The whole belly clams are just amazing. The onion rings are wonderful. The fried shrimp are also wonderful. The french fries & cole slaw is great. This is a find.
