“Great All-Around American/International Cuisine in Fun Atmosphere”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 28, 2009

This is a Litchfield County staple - always dependable and a diverse menu. The portions are sometimes on the huge side, but the desserts are worth saving room for - especially key lime pie. The sushi is suprisingly good/well prepared for a country restaurant, and the special rolls are usually tasty and inventive. The seared beef app is outstanding, as is the vegetable tempura. The fish, especially the salmon, is always a delicious entree choice, and they usually do at least one good mexican dish. Fantastic wine list and a very professional and friendly staff with a fun bar. I try to get there at least once every other week.

“Appetizers are best”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 7, 2008

The appetizers are by far the best part of the menu. Order three for dinner and save youself the heart ache of the mediocre main courses...Except when they do General's Tso's Chicken...Also don't let them stick you in one of the two high bar tables...Hard to enjoy dinner when the bar crowd is all over you...If you are into a more upscale gourmet mood then I suggest Pastorels in Lakeville...Smaller menu but everthing is a cut above...

Always a pleasure. Great food, warm friendly environment. The appetizers alone can make a great dinner.

“An elegant retreat”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 27, 2008

Elegant dinning, our traditional weekend retreat for my wife and I when we come up from the city. I only wish they had an online menu so that I could send a link to my friends and relatives when they visit from out of town.
