Kent Falls is a site that can make for a wonderful rest stop when traveling on Route 7. Located just northeast of Kent village, the source of the falls originates in Warren, Connecticut as Falls Brook. It cascades down 70 feet on it's way to the Housatonic River. The falls is a cool respite from summer temperatures and people bathe in the pool at its base. You can picnic here and you can hike along the side of the falls to the top.
The stream runs along the side of the ample parking area and is bridged by a small covered bridge that was patterned after an earlier one that occupied the site. Take ten minutes or more to rest and enjoy this lovely small park. It will be good for your soul.
